Since this was a rehearsal. MJ is so laid back and he's enjoying and experimenting with his vocals so much. Yet still it sounds so, so brilliant and angelic. If the concert had happened, he would have given his whole heart and soul into this song and it would have been even better. Him experimenting and still sounding amazing is why he is the KING.

That's an accurate assessment. What's odd is the 5.1 stems arent interconnected. Judiths you can hear but jacksons are completely absent anf arent picked for some strange reason which means its definitely from different days. Even jacksons vocal take here sounds wobbly and unnatural which is probably due to being edited and pitch corrected which was also used for the J5 medley. We will never receive the unedited vocals because of how disastrous his voice became. Michael Prince who worked on the audio for the film took the decision to use dubbed vocals from demos and flat out edit his voice for several reasons; 1. To make it a more complete piece especially with it being on film, only the diehard fans would want a chance to listen to the unedited raw material but as a commercial film it wouldnt have worked and the 2nd and most obvious reason is to cover up his condition. Bearden the MD was firing off emails during the middle of june asking around for unreleased fresh demo takes for MJ to rehearse to. The only piece of untouched vocal we have from TII was the June 4th TWMMF amateur recording from outside the forum.
