I'm also 99 percent sure he doesn't read music. His voice is too low for the contra-tenor range, which is the highest of all the male voices. The term is archaic anyway since the normal term is "alto." This means he's lying and can't even come up with a good story about it.
Jim Norton absolutely nailed how beyond ridiculous this roast was. I don't recall Revolver / GW sponsoring any more of these rock n' roll roasts after Dee's, Zakk Wylde's and I think maybe Gene Simmons's, so it goes to show how unpopular and un-watchable these roasts were. It's not like this show would have millions of people glued to their TV sets! We're talking about Dee F**king Snider her for God's sake --- had a couple of hits in the mid 80's and then disappeared like a fart in the wind! It wasn't like they had some legendary figure on the dais like Mick Jagger, Elton John or Paul McCartney! A 2nd-rate network like AXS TV hosting a roast of an 80's heavy metal has-been -- what the f**k were they expecting? If they thought Nielsen ratings would go through the roof, then they must've been smoking some seriously powerful dope in the AXS TV board room when they initially planned this show! What a non-stop cringe-fest this was! I could've hosted a roast of the local wino bum in my home town and gotten more people to tune in!
Not wishing to defecate on anyone's opinion, but the jokes on these metal roasts are so forced, even the audience cannot laugh. The comedians on the roasts of many celebrities mostly bring the fun, but this video, and the roast of Zakk Wylde are cringe-worthy. I would prefer to hear anecdotes about each roastee that are true and epic. These guys and gals have lived the life and have a lot to contribute. Reading the poor jokes of a bunch of average writers kills this type of programme. I hate to be negative and some of these people are brilliant musicians, but they do not contribute towards comedy.
