Love this! ❤️And your sincerity! I am a pediatric nurse practitioner (for my day job 😂). I see so many children less fortunate than others and so many that just need to be loved😢. Unfortunately, Teachers are sometimes the only real parent a child may have. You never know their home life. Thank you for sharing.

The work we do serving our communities is so important. I agree. I know that many of my students are from unstable homes, and the 6 hours they spend with me each day is the thing that brings them security. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. 💕🙏✨

I’m glad that resonated with you. 💕 I feel it’s not fair to constantly pick ourselves apart. If that’s where our focus was over the course of our lifetime, it would be miserable. 😭

Oh, Jen. I sat here nodding my head the entire video when I wasn’t getting teary during the segment about that super sweet child! I have failed and failed in most of those ways, too. The biggest differences between us is that I didn’t get married, didn’t have kids (though really wanted to!), and didn’t finish college after countless attempts. I’m 56 and found that entering my 50s was when all the failures, mistakes, and regrets started to come back to haunt me. It’s been a journey of trying to find peace with those things and move into a phase of forgiveness and grace. And of making new dreams come true! 🥰 Thank you for sharing these thoughts today. So appreciated! 🙌❤️

We all have failed in so many ways. I have too. As a fellow teacher I KNOW how much that gift meant from Sam. Teaching can be a thankless job. We love getting those gifts at the end of the year so we finally feel appreciated. I understand feeling bad about not getting any gifts. The story with Sam had me in tears. Your reflection at the end had me in tears too. It makes me want to reflect and remember where I have gone right.

If anyone teaches long enough, they will have a Sam in their life. As for your failures, it appears that you were living a life of learning how to survive so that you could thrive. You are young and thriving; you now get to share your life experience and help others to grow. Yours is not textbook living, but a life of wishing, waiting, hoping, and most importantly Succeeding! Let's get to the 1000 subscribers as you are half way there already.

Now Jen, you have proven my point. You have succeeded at the most challenging task ever: parenting children who can grow and thrive. And just think, you are doing this at home and at work. Remember, as a teacher, you are loco parentis, basically the second parent and are expected to take on the role of a second parent. Most people don't know that teachers are legally bound to perform in this role. As you are succeeding brilliantly in both these roles, your prior failures are not a factor in preventing you from being your best. As for my own channel, I am on the fence. I am inspired by you and our other Jen. I'm just about there, but am getting in my own way. Seeing you ladies succeed will move me to start soon. Keep those videos coming, we are all rooting for you.

I think for most of us at this age we start to naturally look back and question all of our choices. You are not a failure at all! We are just living our life the best we can. All of these fails only lead us to success! I love that your student was there for you just when you needed it. Oh and college, I did the 20 year plan of on and off. But you know what, my kids got to be at my graduation so I'm thankful they got to witness their mom never quitting! Enjoy listening!

"There are no failures in life! Only life lessons"-- We all make mistakes, no one person is perfect! Soo pick up the pieces of positivity and step forward and leaving negativity behind, forgive yourself and loving yourself is KEY to happiness, I'm always looking at a glass half full and not half empty! and never judging a book by it cover. It's how you turn a failure/mistake in to a "+" lesson and always cultivate kindness no matter where you go. hope this helps someone in the world today. 🌺🌺ALOHA Dean
