The face-cast of Malcolm McDowell could be a pre-war event or it could simply be that they use his face to represent the AI similar to how Mr. House had a young face of himself on all the screens. So they made a cast to better be able to scan it and animate it for a screen on the AI.
I feel like within the show, what Maximus was referring to with Eden was like the concept of Eden, like the garden of. The brotherhoods “idea” for an Eden-like wasteland. HOWEVER I also absolutely hope we get president Eden in the show
6:40 Modus had contact with Eden during his formation. He is based on every president. It may be possible that Eden may have acted as an out of range proxy for the actual president, a copy of his personality. 7:50 Seems a bit of a stretch, like looking for Zebras in a horse pasture in kentucky. More than likely it was just a bible reference. 8:42 Ed-E verifies that he stopped by in Chicago. Modus was recruiting not 25 years after. Chicago remnant is still active, or was. My money is on Eden having just sent a copy of his personality to Raven Rock and having had actual control of everything from Chicago. 25:11 If the NCR was driven out, or is no longer in NV, then 15 years is more than enough time for people to come back. If the nukes and all that happened AT the time of New Vegas, or just after, then they can kind of do whatever. Few things.
I assumed the "Eden" comment was referencing a G.E.C.K. As in, if he's in a class where he's being berated for not knowing how to identify technology, but knows a Garden of Eden Creation Kit is important, he might refer to it as an Eden.
20:34 Trash Can Talk. As a correctional officer on the east coast I have heard this term amongst inmates refiring to "snitches" a person who will tell on another person to save themselves. the inmates will tell us officers trash can talk when speaking of snitches.
Voices change over time. President Eden is AI. Where did the AI get that voice ? The AI learned it. How or why? Only those programmers keeping it in check from being self aware
My question is people forgot about the Enclave in California yet in the show every level of society now talks about them. Something has to have happened between the events of Fallout 4 and the show that the Enclave are back to point people are talking about them even taking on work from them in bounties on people. I want to know what the Enclave did to come to prominence again. Did they score a major victory somewhere? They aren't even hiding this time it seems if everyone knows they are about.
Remember Thaddeus asks if the Enclave were real? suggesting that specific BOS chapter and maybe other folks, only have slight knowledge of them, maybe now they are seen merely as "Bogeymen"?
@@silverbladeTE It's not Thaddeus who asks that, but the other black guy who participated in the hazing of Maximus. They've certainly heard of the Enclave, but they've probably never actually met anyone from the Enclave because those guys don't like to have a public facing presence (and only really leave their bases when they need to capture Wasteland creatures or people for experimentation).
@@TheLewistownTrainspotter8102 Ah, my bad :) But it does show, that at the time the TV series happens and for that chapter of the BOS, the "grunts" don't really know much at all about the Enclave whether that's due to the passage of time, or that Chapter being pretty dumb or isolated, etc, who knows? Remember the Enclave did come out of hiding twice, in Fallout 2, but most importantly Fallout 3 when they did a full scale take over of DC
Cooper's story definitely isn't over as far as pre war is concerned. In the very first scene of season 1- when Coop goes to the birthday party, those 2 men are talking amongst themselves and saying he has to take birthday party gigs to pay for alamoney. Meaning he has since divorced his wife.
This with Thaddeus makes my Wizard Of Oz theory good. Lucy = Dorthey, the out of her element one rising to the challenge. The Ghoul = The Tin Man, heartless warrior with tragic loss. The Scarecrow = Maximus, clumsy but wants to protect. The Cowardly Lion = Thaddeus, scared now and hiding, but the strongest one. The Wizard Of Oz = Mr. House.....maybe
11:15 it could be that he is and isn’t. Maybe he gave the okay to use his likeness, somewhat since supermutants go through radical transformation and would no longer resemble the human that was before.
I'm interested on why you keep leaning towards FEV and super mutant. I'm watching the fallout show for the third time now and just passed one of the important parts where he is talking about serums. Serums of all types for all maladies. It's obvious he's getting a serum based out of fallout 76. Plenty of time for some of that technology and supply to make it across the nation.
My thoughts exactly. They are traveling TO New Vegas, so it seems pretty obvious to me there might be landmarks they run into along the way, like a drive-in theater that is part of a chain of theaters popular in the US before the war.
@@shawnwolf5961 I think the reason they chose the Starlight is because of the retro-futuristic architecture that the _Fallout 4_ location had. Maybe Lucy and the Ghoul will also encounter a Nuka World West, but I doubt it.
I would like to see a coup!e of moments were the main characters meet the wanderer breifly, and to see them hesitate upon meeting him/her due to the wanderer's past, McDowell does look like arcane, Either way looking forward to series two as series one was pretty good, will be interesting to see how the story unfolds as there will be a new directive
Btw Oxhorn, have you ever seen the sad little deer stand near Poseidon Reservoir in Fallout 4. There's a skeleton on it. Seems like the sort of thing you might cover in your videos about tales of the Fallout universe.
Word salad incoming. Adding to your shooting location theory: I used to live in Southern California, and my family would take summer trips into Nevada and we would pass through Baker every time. We would also pass other locations such as: a small, unincorporated community called Nipton, a town called Searchlight, which also held the destination my family always went to, Cottonwood Cove. I doubt we'll see any of these locations on screen, but I'm willing to bet we get answers as to New Vegas' ending/Easter eggs
One thing I cant wait to see is Lucy finding out that The Ghoul is indeed Cooper Howard, seeing as shes more likely a fan of his since she always watched his movies with her Dad.
I have been thinking after seeing the picture of Malcolm, could he be the shadowing figure in the meeting in episode 8? It kinda has his features. Eden was a Zax, yes, but the voice....
6:12 And yet, Michael Dorn voiced Marcus and Frank Horrigan. There are probably more. Please comment other fallout characters who share voice actors. (Fodder NPC's with no name don't count)
This show has so much potential im ready for all the fallout show has to offer. I expect they going focus on making the enclave the big bad next season and going forward while at the same time having vault tec is the true evil Lucy has so much to learn about vault tec still her and copper still need to have that conversation
Honestly if they are shooting now after 6 months the 1st season debuted, we will see season 2 in 2025. I would say in late summer early fall. This has been the fastest I have seen to get going to the next season out from this type of series. 6 months and they are already started filming! 31:53
You also have to remember that the events of the show take place after all of the Fallout lore to date. So, the Khans could have taken over the hotel at some point after the ends of New Vegas and Fallout 4.
Supermutant? We also know that throughout the "Fallout Lore" The "Institute" has been working in the shadows, researching, advancing energy sources, replacing humans, & creating human-like synths. The possibilities are limitless. Where are the Aliens stealing humans throughout the ages? How many vaults actually exist in the Fallout Universe?
i don’t think they’re Enclave Remnants in NV would join Enclave if having heard it had built up. but i also don’t think they’d do anything stop them, knowing their ideology & what they’re capable of.
It sounds like Thaddeus' actor got himself fired. Also, I believe the Great Khans would come to Novac simply for Manny Vargas. And, finally, drive-ins would be a common thing in the pseudo-'50s pre-war world, it could be another one out there somewhere, just like another theater.
I doubt it'll be this route, but they're proven their AIs do have real life counterparts like the voice of Codsworth. Maybe they do some tie in with the voice of Eden actually being part of the enclave too and he's become a ghoul or a super mutant himself
After Rings of Power was over Forbes was allowed to come out and say that Fallout is Prime Video’s Most Successful show TO DATE. :D I think there is a good chance we might geht the show at the end of 2025. But perhaps Spring 2026 is more realistic depending how smoothly the shooting goes.
1. I find it very hard to believe that Thaddeus does not return for S2. 2. I think a lot of the minor details like the Khan tagging and the drive-in name might simply be easter eggs for game fans and not meant to be relevant to the actual plot. They did a LOT of this in season one. So while it is likely very easy to explain why the Drive-In might be a Starlight brand or when/how the Khan's tagged Novak with graffiti, it likely isn't important.......or I am totally wrong and we get some cool Khan scenes or flashbacks explaining Starlight's Drive-In dominance of America featuring Cooper Howard's movies.
there is another scenario in which eden AI actually is based off a real person that has been stored in stasis like others and was one of the leaders on its inception. he did not want to become detached from his body and decided that while objectives for rebuilding America have first to be meet, the ai will do that, and the destruction of said ai made it necessary to go with alternatives, (hence richardson etc.) as setbacks and inference of the chosen one and others crippled the leadership to a critical point, the remaining council decided to wake eden up to take the helm. hence we need not a ai as actor but a human being :)
Could the graffiti with the squiggly line eyeball be a "eye bot"? I was watching a video about the Enclave and how they made them and destroy the all them but one survived.
1. If the NCR is in as bad a shape as it seems, what would stop the Khans from taking back or expanding new territory? 2. When I heard Culkin was going to be involved as a crazy scientist type, the first person I thought of was an 70 year old (or even better, a ghoulified) Myron. I know the Fallout 2 ending says he's dead, but that's second hand info, and I could totally see him playing someone that sleazy.
On the photo Walton Goggins shared of him in the ghoul makeup, he used the song Big Iron by Marty Robbins for the post, which is a nice tie in to NV. I hope we get to see more of the NCR in this Season 2.
Holy crap i was just thinking about this last night haha good timing Ox
20:42 “HO” wrote on the building + Macaulay Culkin = Home O lone
If Pembertons photo wasn’t related to Fallout, he probably wouldn’t have deleted it.
Yep. He probably got in trouble for leaking it and was told to delete it.
@@cjsvoiceworks6008 But obviously, it's too late and screenshots are forever. So there's a record of the photo existing.
I hope we see a flashback of the battle of hoover dam
20:34 Trash Can Talk. As a correctional officer on the east coast I have heard this term amongst inmates refiring to "snitches" a person who will tell on another person to save themselves. the inmates will tell us officers trash can talk when speaking of snitches.
Genuinely surprised to see an Anarchist who works as a prison correctional officer lol
Voices change over time. President Eden is AI. Where did the AI get that voice ? The AI learned it. How or why? Only those programmers keeping it in check from being self aware
31:01 The line on the sign under Cooper Howard seems to say "Drinkdrunk Dracul". I think.
What in the wild wasteland is that thumbnail? Lol
exactly!! the enclave should be a mere whisper!
@@TheLewistownTrainspotter8102 Ah, my bad :)
But it does show, that at the time the TV series happens and for that chapter of the BOS, the "grunts" don't really know much at all about the Enclave
whether that's due to the passage of time, or that Chapter being pretty dumb or isolated, etc, who knows?
Remember the Enclave did come out of hiding twice, in Fallout 2, but most importantly Fallout 3 when they did a full scale take over of DC
Maybe Thad got fired for sharing a picture that wasn’t approved…?
Oxhorn, they should hire you for lore continuity consulting, like STNG had Michael Okuda canon check everything and wrote the encyclopedia of it.
LMFAO no....he doesn't even know what it means when something "falls" and cries plothole
Cooper's story definitely isn't over as far as pre war is concerned. In the very first scene of season 1- when Coop goes to the birthday party, those 2 men are talking amongst themselves and saying he has to take birthday party gigs to pay for alamoney. Meaning he has since divorced his wife.
2:30 guess he missed the Supermutant corpse on the gurney
The second part of the drive in sign looks like “Drinkdrunkdrank” sabasatien Leslie
a copy of Eden could appear as an AI face on a screen possibly, or maybe he's a pre-war character who appears in a flashback.
I'm so excited for season 2. I just rewatched season 1 and missed all the details that Ox depicts here. He's so good at this.
11:15 it could be that he is and isn’t. Maybe he gave the okay to use his likeness, somewhat since supermutants go through radical transformation and would no longer resemble the human that was before.
Appreciate the video! I absolutely loved season 1, so it helps a lot to see the clues for season 2
12:55 I think he'll be playing Fantastic still kicking about at Helios 1
But in fallout 4 you read a terminal in the nuka cola theme park when people instantly heal after getting hit by radiation storm
We probably see deathclaws as well
No season 2 until 2026, me no renewing prime until 2026.
29:49 to be fair this could be a different drive-in not in new Vegas, but on the way there!
What about night kin they were gray and super mutants are green they mutant on the stretcher was grey
14:02 I was thinking exactly the same thing, and Fantastic would be such a fun character to have in the show
pemberton may have been involved in season 2--until he posted those photos without todd howard's permission.
I would like to see a coup!e of moments were the main characters meet the wanderer breifly, and to see them hesitate upon meeting him/her due to the wanderer's past, McDowell does look like arcane,
Either way looking forward to series two as series one was pretty good, will be interesting to see how the story unfolds as there will be a new directive
Maybe Pemberton isn’t involved in Season 2, but his hand moulding is for Season 3. Or else he’s lying about not being in S2
10:13 if the Enclave ends up being in season 2 instead of loving the brotherhood of steel Oxhorn here will change sides 😁 (MODUS Smile)
There’s a starlight drive in on the east coast! Irl, in Atlanta.
Now I’m curious if that has any bearing on the fallout universe
6:12
And yet, Michael Dorn voiced Marcus and Frank Horrigan.
I have driven through Baker so many times traveling from UT to CA. The memories.
Honestly if they are shooting now after 6 months the 1st season debuted, we will see season 2 in 2025. I would say in late summer early fall. This has been the fastest I have seen to get going to the next season out from this type of series. 6 months and they are already started filming! 31:53
Thaddeus has big fake hands because they're gonna be big green super mutant hands
Uh oh, I am putting money that YES Man is going to make a appearance.
I hope it! Also I want to see Raul
President Eden is likely gonna make an appearance during a flashback.
14:14 I dunno i dont see them spending time bringing Fantastic into the Show with so much to work with! But who knows its exciting no matter what
I doubt it'll be this route, but they're proven their AIs do have real life counterparts like the voice of Codsworth.
A more likely answer about Eden was that he was a ZAX computer. The voice could simply be standard, and the enclave got a new president.
there is another scenario in which eden AI actually is based off a real person that has been stored in stasis like others and was one of the leaders on its inception. he did not want to become detached from his body and decided that while objectives for rebuilding America have first to be meet, the ai will do that, and the destruction of said ai made it necessary to go with alternatives, (hence richardson etc.)
as setbacks and inference of the chosen one and others crippled the leadership to a critical point, the remaining council decided to wake eden up to take the helm. hence we need not a ai as actor but a human being :)
“That causes more problems than it solves” describes literally everything that happens in the show.
Could the graffiti with the squiggly line eyeball be a "eye bot"? I was watching a video about the Enclave and how they made them and destroy the all them but one survived.
Uuh Ox, a lot of crazy speculations!
I truly expected to hate the show. To call me a convert would be an absolute understatement, so much so that I'm working on The Ghoul cosplay lol
