The most interesting takeaway for me here is the custom stand. I've built drawing tables and stuff but never thought about assembling a wooden stand for my pen display (it's a humble 13" Companion anyway, but now I'm seriously considering upgrading to the 24" model - 32" is just too much for me). If it lasts me at least 10 years that's a good ROI for me :)

Hi Aaron, I hope that you and your family are fit and well.
Would it be possible to review a graphics screen that the majority of artist's can afford? I've always loved WACOM gear for about 20 years or so but the price tag for these systems doesn't agree with my budget. In my opinion they are aimed more to the professional/ freelance graphic designers. I'm a graphic designer with a 1st Honours Degree but unfortunately been unable to work due to my illnesses so my budget won't allow me to even contemplate investing in such fine equipment! As they say " Beggars can't be chooses" lol. But having said that I still gain a great deal of pleasure watching such as yourself using them and showing me the abilities of said item's.
Maybe one day... I can dream eh lol 👍😉👌

seems like the lower dpi compared to the 24 and potential for serious strain on your arm from drawing so big doesn't seem all that worth it unless you're focused on large scale illustration where you don't want to work zoomed in on a highly detailed project
i'd argue that perhaps the 16 would be even better for primarily animation, as large canvas size isn't exactly too necessary for that, not to mention the ability to move it around your workplace/house which could improve working conditions and be more convenient/comfortable
i wish wacom would release an inbetween of the 16 and the 24, but they seem to just never bother with medium sized screen options

Amazing device, but I've heard the 32" is not for everyone. There becomes a point where it's just TOO big, and extending your arm to tap a little button inside a program could get very annoying in a short period of time. Then again, for Aaron, it may be perfect for his workflow. It's one heck of a beast lol. I got the 24" Pro and must say it's just lovely to work on.

fxscreamer I would be happy with the Cintiq 24, I don’t know if a smaller screen would be worth it though, I’ve heard it’s uncomfortable to work on the 13” screen, and the 16” has a lower color gamut, opposed to the 24” which is 99% rgb

      Touch or non touch?

@@TT-rl4su Touch version, though I rarely use it. Keyboard shortcuts are more efficient for me. I'd personally save the money in hindsight.

@@CashmereSky I was leaning toward non touch if going with 24". Thanks for reconfirming ;-) Now need to make final decison between 24" and 32" lol What did you go with regarding mounting? Arm or that huge base?

@@TT-rl4su I went with the Wacom Flex Arm. Definitely the best decision. It's a bit cheaper, and gives me way more positioning options while keeping my desk clear. Be careful if you go 3rd party, as the weight of the 24 can be too much for most. I believe Wacom's official version is based off of Ergotron's HX arm. Wacom's version comes with the mount, arm, and everything you need. (aka worth it).

This is probably more of a question for a tech guru, but is it possible to use this as your only monitor?

So here's the thing.. I'm gonna do a 4k PC build because I want to use it for a display drawing tablet called cintiq pro the 24 or 32 inch model , this being used for digitally drawing. Yet the tablet runs 4k and res below that. Bottom line it's not even about gaming that's just a nice exclusive feature. For me It's about making a pc that can display 4k and support it with lots of ram and nice graphics cards because the I'll will be rather close to the display tablet as I draw. Therefore, I feel as I may have a bad experience spotting out every pixel on 1080 res as I draw up close to the tablet. So I should go for 4k correct ? Just for digital drawing maybe 3d rendering maybe sculpting idk maybe for yano idk. Anyways I've been researching looking for the best build for my situation also looking for people in a similar predicament or experienced and learning their specs and build. It's to further push my passion and maybe major I always wanted to draw comics or draw in general paint and all that. maybe even try digitally drawing. I always wanted to learn how to make statues of comic book characters an movie characters come to life like the brand Sideshow collectibles. Im a little new to pc building but i know more than enough , but if someone could shoot some advice or shine some knowledge on me that be great. Thank you for reading this long boring comment.

This thing looks beautiful, but it's refresh rate does seem a little...lacking. Are you experiencing significant issues with brush delay or cursor drag compared to previous iterations of any from the Cintiq line?

No haven't had any issues. I'm wording if there is an issue with how it's showing up in the video?

Brush delay and cursor lag tend to relate more to the quality of the computer its attached to, this is effectively just a touch screen monitor, its not calculating anything itself, its not a stand alone computer.

MaZEEZaM I’m not referring to the speed of the computer it’s plugged into, I’m referring to the refresh rate, which has EVERYTHING to do with the monitor, not the computer (assuming it’s set correctly).

I'm trying to decide between the cintiq 16 and the cintiq 16 Pro. I would love the 4k, but the 16 pro has crap reviews. Yet the other size pros, such as this one, have great reviews. I would hate to spend $1,500 just to wish I had the lower resolution $700 tablet from the same company. So frustrating. :(
