NO the kids at the end don't spoil the song ,it makes it! The song is about wishful thinking and what you'd like to do for the love of your life Then you have kids that squabble and fight, so you give them a clip round the ear,which is what you hear at the end of the song. Priceless!
Alternatively...... you have a big sister that thinks she's a pop star and you spoil the recording for her.You decide the reason why the ending.........it's your choice and it definitely doesn't spoil it.

I love Melody's voice because it isn't forced. So many singers press and push and strain, which is not what this instrument is meant to do. Her voice is naturally beautiful, light, smooth--perfect. Don't change a thing, Melody. I want to hear you for many years to come.
She was hit by a car, which is what started her music career via therapy. It's also the reason she sounds the same on ALL her songs...

@SerpentesComedor - Still not sure. But I did find that she recorded the same song in an "Apple Store" in NYC. The album is "Live in Soho", available on Itunes. So maybe this is *that* version and we are hearing people in the background?

This song knocked me on my knees. So beautifull and the lyrics are just amazing. I had to push back a tear and that is something very rare by me.
So has anyone figured out what the voices at the end of the song say? and who is saying it? sounds like someone is getting hit because I hear a "bang" and an "ouch"
