I'm so glad I recorded it on VHS when it came on a late night tv station in the mid 90's. I paused the recording every time a commercial came on, so my copy is commercial free😊 I still have it 27 years later
"The Battle of the Villa Fiorita," originally a novel published in 1963. Written by Rumer Godden, who also wrote, amongst others, "Greengage Summer," "An Episode of Sparrows." All great reads.
I have been wanting to see this movie again for years. Please upload the rest of it. It is the perfect double feature with the Haley Mills' "Parent Trap" Shame it is not available on video.
Thanks for sharing. Where did you get a copy of this movie? I loved the cinemetography, the Venetian theme by Mischa Spoliansky, and one of Olivia Hussey's first movies. I would love to have a copy. Thanks!
"We've come to fetch you"............ I think the line was, when the parents asked the children why they had come. Poor kids even staged a hunger strike. What a great movie!
I recall this movie regarding segments involving the child characters. That is, if it is the movie I think it is. I have been searching the internet NOT knowing the title. I found this You Tube link by typing in some of the lines I recalled from the movie; "Michael gets to stay just because he vomited" which is what one of the girl characters says at one point, and "I bet your bottom's red." Whenever there were movies on The Late Show or The Late Late Show, I noticed that the movies involved grownups and grown-up perspectives. It is not so much that I liked this movie, but I could understand the younger characters' oppressions because of adults around them.
I Want so muche to see this movie again🇧🇷🇨🇾
