    Bloody time we got an update of the transfer table. You know how long we have been waiting. LOL The table works great. Nice way to organize the feeder wires. I use liquid nails or construction adhesive to lay the cork and track. The great advantage is you can lay them at the same time and don't need to pin it down. The only draw back is you can never take it up, cause once its down its there forever. Great update.

      Scott Downey I know it's about time just thought i let you all hang out a bit ,and i didn't have any liquid nails so went for the white glue cheers Robert

    Plenty of loco storage on all those tracks Rob. Will look fantastic when finished. The loco foreman will have a hell of a time deciding in what order to store them so they are available and easy to get to when required!

      Rob tip for when you go to lay plaster for you concrete , paint the ply between the track's and the cork roadbed with some bondcrete will make good bond for the plaster and use some Boral cornice cement seeing the plaster is going to be thick there , won't shrink and give you good finish and will sand nice and smooth if you have to sand it, hope this helps
      Cheers Glynn

    Why so many feeds so close together? Sorry for stupid question just learning bout this dcc thing.

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  8 років тому

      +Nathan Vitchner Nathan i used more feeders than normal because i plastered the whole tracks and
      i did this so i wouldn't lose power to the tracks, if i used one wire and this didn't connect then the train
      would not run on the track hope this helps, and you should run at least one feeder per flex track for DCC
      cheers Robert

    • @nathanvitchner4104
      @nathanvitchner4104 8 років тому

      Ok thanks. Better too many than not enough and have to rip up the plaster. Right?

    Impressive.....very nice....but soldering technic is poor....!
    You should use a proper soldering iron....clean the tip.....use less, much less flux.....and the solder should have a cross section small as possible....!
    Bolt rings for the wires and core tags(evening made of paper) is a good practice!
    But it is very nice!
    Thanks for the video!

    • @csxmad
      @csxmad  7 років тому

      Me Me thanks for the comment and the soldering iron i used was the only one i had at the
      time but she seemed to work ok cheers Robert

    • @pmacedo6778
      @pmacedo6778 7 років тому

      csxmad thanks for the video....excellent technic ......a very good idea for paved areas with tracks......
      Sorry for the comment.....over the years i have solder a lot of stuff....not only rails....
      Flux is good, but we should use just enough amount of it...the results are better...
      Also consider to use heat sink (paper metallic clamps) on the rails....you will see better results.
