I think this may be the first SNES game my uncle ever bought, played, showed my brother and I way back in the day, that wasn't Super Mario World. I remember years later (but also, many years ago by now, man I hate the passing of time), I ended up finding the Toys R Us receipt from when he bought his SNES. Was something like August 30, 1992, and of course for $199.99, anyway this was one of the games in his relatively small collection he ever had; obviously this one, Jurassic Park, Krusty's Super Fun House, The Magical Quest, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, and Top Gear.
Love this game!! Definitely one of the harder ones. As a kid I remember my mom helping us with levels and eventually beating it. This game cartridge also survived a bad storm we had in Ohio, it was in the shed that got destroyed in wind damage. I remember pulling it from the wreckage and it still works to this day lol.
The game was released for the Super NES in March 1992, even the copyright says 1991. This game is based on the 1991 movie and the 1964 TV series of the same name, which itself based on the fictional cartoon family The Addams Family created by Charles Addams. A modified version of the game was made for the Nintendo Super System arcade platform in early 1992, after the SNES game was released. This arcade version featured only the action stages, similar to the Professional! mode in the retail version. Among other changes, the game had a different scoring system, and was much more difficult than the retail version.
@LordNifty To clarify, I am referring to the Bebe's Kids video game. I just watched the LordKat video(see FearTheKaT), but both that video and the Nostalgia Critic video are quite amusing, and worth checking out.
I had this game when it was new and as far I can remember spent a decent amount of time with it, saw almost everything and beat it. Yet I can't remember a single thing about it apart from Gomez's sprite. I don't even recognise the music. I even remember where I bought it! Very strange.
Bah. He skips getting the heart from the garden greenhouse area. Those centipedes were hell for me to find when I was like... 8 and first played this game.
damm I remember these game takes me back in passed this when I was about 7 now that I'm 25 I'm like wtf how the hell did I pass these game so many fucking doors I would have gotten lost
This is a pretty obvious Super Mario World clone, but a decent one, and it seems the designers and programmers did try. After seeing the Bebe's Kids video, I am aware it could have been much, much worse.
11:38 - has anyone ever been able to get up to that hidden... secret... hard to reach area? I've been playing through this game two times the past week or so, and that higher area on that screen keeps annoying me, go back to when I was a kid and didn't care with the game genie, I probably would have used a code to have infinite fezi-copter, or something.
This game is hard mostly because of how bad the controls are. And that screeching sound Gomez makes when sliding is god damn grating. Not a bad game otherwise. Just very flawed.
reminds me of those old gameboy games you'd force yourself to play just to pass the time and another thing...why the hell does Gomez look like Saddam frigging Hussein?
Reminds me of me and my brother watching our dad play this game for hours. It was great and sure he was good as an adult. Lovely Nostalgia
First game i ever bought for my SNES. Brings back a load of memories.

Lo más odioso del juego es el derrape que pega el tipo Dios es horrible
Still one my favorites games. This desperately needs a re-mastering or re-release.
i remember this game kicking my ass when i was a kid.

This was by far my Favorite game of my childhood, well this or any of the super star wars, the Nostalgia is too real.....

You forgot the centipede boss in the garden.
Fun game. It was a bit difficult but that is what makes games fun! Now days the game are too easy.
Wow the guy playing this is pro as hell
Nop. He don't found the secrets
Miss this game so much
this game somehow remind me of the castlevania with a huge castle and a lot of different areas to explore
used to love this game as a kid
I miss the 16 bit days hugely :(

Mind if I say: you missed a boss fight that would get you an extra heart in the Conservatory area.

No sound, what a pity.... Musics in this game are so amazing. In any cases, thx for ur video.
@gentlemanvaultboy I had that same book! Nice to see that other people have heard of it. :-)
this game is way harder than the player is making it look tbh
Pugsly's room was defiantly the funniest
I LOVE THIS!
Wow this looks fun!
You forgot to kill the boss in the conservatory for the 5th heart. Don't remember where it is though, that place was a bit of a maze.
this is actually a decent looking platformer.

Will you eventually do the whole series? Even on GB/C and NES?
great game, nice bosses.
I only tried to play the SMS Version and althou i didn`t liked it but it seems that game is better than the Genesis/SNES Versions. thx for the vids
Why chosing the saber before the ball of deah?
2018 😍
There are two SNES Longplay [089] videos?
i love this musics off music
I was never able to understand the goal of the game. What is it anyway?
One area leads to the same areas you've been before.
The goal of this game is to rescue your family.. Fairly straightforward to understand really.
Every enemy Gomez kills makes a fart when he jumps on them.
Nostalgia total.
Tiene un alto nivel de dificultad....dificilísimo......
Final boss was a joke
Ocean games was very hard
mano eu amo família addams

I don't remember paying so much attention, or being so annoyed with that area in all the years I've played and replayed this game.
Vendo assim parece tão fácil mais na prática o jogo tem uma dificuldade elevada
Looks like a Mario game and he looks like Mario you know Mario Wearing a suit
you made it look easy
Luigi se volvió malo
Where can you Rescue Grandma Addams?
+Aaron Ladner in the furnace.
@@33LB I think it's supposed to be a Kitchen's oven, but it does seem more aesthetically like a furnace.
@@MisterH37 bro...
42:25, "the furnace"
@@33LB Oh, Ha Ha.
how is this not Mario lol

At least it looks better than the pugsly's quest game... that game was fucking terrible. Same lazy graphics though, but at least you have a weapon.
reminds me of those old gameboy games you'd force yourself to play just to pass the time and another thing...why the hell does Gomez look like Saddam frigging Hussein?
AVGN: "This game is A$$".
how i download this game? plss
You can go to Snesfun.com and play it online.
i loved this game but fuck the chain room
I've played this too
Nes version was best...
The movie was horrible enough.
