That's awesome! Has to be pretty neat to see your mom as a kid/playing with toys in a commercial, the fact she still had the oven and gave it to you is even cooler! 😁 Thanks for watching and sharing your story, much appreciated!
@@SofaSurferExtraordinaire Yep I too was able to enjoy the taste of a tiny cake made of special powder it was surprisingly good to me.Also nothing like the day the lightbulb goes out and you need to replace it

Ahhh Toys R' Us, sad the modern generation will never have the shear wonder of being a kid inside "The biggest toy store there is". One time when I ran out, i get out the regular cake mix, made a huge mess mixing, then baked a single tiny cake and wasted the rest of the batter. Mom was not impressed. 🤣 Thanks for watching and sharing some memories, always appreciated!
We had the 1992 & 2004 one! I remember making them with my sister & actually tasted amazing!! Haha so many memories… kids nowadays just be using the real oven 😂😂
Awesome! Yeah, everything usually tasted great as long as you used the proper ingredients (ie don't mix up sugar and salt!) 😂 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, always appreciated!
Bummer, I'm sorry to hear that! You didn't miss out on anything THAT amazing, but they were pretty fun. Yeah definitely don't remember the biscuit mix, but makes sense. It did get to 350 inside so you should be able to bake most things (mini lasagna anyone? 🤣).
Definitely seemed like they burned out faster in the oven than in normal 'household use'. Do remember stealing a bulb out of a lamp and getting chastised for it. 🤣 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, always appreciated!

In the late ‘90s, Easy Bake Ovens were given a run for their money by Mrs. Fields Cookie Factories (or something like that). I worked retail at the time and my store carried both.
I had the 1992 version growing up. But I gotta say I really love the design of the 1972 version the best. I also love how the cake mixes come in small boxes so that the girls playing with them can really feel like their baking something their mothers would.
Awww that's no fun! Funny thing is back then our houses were generally full of 'regular' lightbulbs that were equally as "dangerous"...😂 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, always appreciated!
I got one for Christmas in the late 2000s when I was maybe 7 or 8. It came with two cake mixes, but my parents didn’t want to buy any extra ones. So once I finished those two, the oven was used as a makeshift storage bin until we moved to a new house and threw it away. 😂
There weren't many changes between 1993 and 2004, aside from the "Queasy Bake" coming out and the short lived 2003 model that no longer used a light bulb. Thanks for swinging through and dropping a comment!
I remember those, they were pretty awesome! I considered adding in the commercial for it but kept it all just regular easy-bakes instead. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment, always appreciated!
And I appreciate the heck out of you! I enjoy making the videos and though the channel/content will likely never develop much of a following/large view numbers, its a labor of love and a bit of editing practice for other side projects. Just glad there are others out there who share my nostalgia for this time period. Again, thanks for the comment(s)/dropping by, hope to see you again!
Funny thing is, back when people claimed they were dangerous, homes were full of 100w lightbulbs and bad things rarely happened. 😂 About the worst that could happen would the lightbulb breaking into the mix and then the cake wouldn't cook so you couldn't eat it anyway... Thanks for watching and leaving a comments, always appreciated!
I probably dreamed it up in a fever dream, but i swear I remember a "boy" version of EZ Bake, only it was mad scientist themed and it made edible bugs and spiders and stuff.
You're thinking of the Dr Dreadful food labs, but there was a "boy" version of the Easy Bake Oven called "Queasy Bake" as well. It was really just an easy bake oven with a different colour scheme lol
Weirdly enough, none of these old commercials get content flagged by anyone. Though Hasbro still hold the rights to the commercial IP, I'm sure. Thanks for the comment/dropping by, always appreciated!
