*ADDENDUM/WARNING* If my omission in telling you where or how to get the cutting edge version of MESA-git isn't enough, I recommend that unless you have a designated partition or system for testing the new cutting edge MESA -git version, you *SHOULD NOT seek out MESA-git for use on production system, or in other words, a system you rely on.* The system I test on is exactly that: for testing. I wipe and switch distros and make new instances at will. Wait for the release of MESA 24.1 on May 15th and see if the update is available for the distro you use on your system.
Finally a niche channel with actual good content. Maybe provide some content on how at a level low with example code how DXVK or VKD3D works? Or what are the differences between Arc drivers on different distributions?
I appreciate seeing how the encoder works. I would also like to see how dxvk works for some games. Hopefully in april things are a little better regardless.
I'd like to make 2 more videos, these games ran decently, others not so much. Make videos for 24.1 when it releases? Maybe. Anyway, thanks for watching!

Thanks for covering Intel Arc GPU content on Linux. Very useful content. Av1 encoder really works well on these GPUs.

Sounds like good ideas. I’ll see…
Games from steam on my Arc 770 don't see graphics adapter, kernel 6.11((( in system use i915, you have test only native games?
At this rate I'm betting drivers might be on par at the tail end of Battlemage maybe hopefully

I wouldn't say that all 3 games run decently. At least one of them ran satisfactory.
... I'll see myself out 😃
Excellent review, make another benchmark when mesa 24.1 become stable.

Mesa 24.2 and Linux 6.10 seem to be the starting point. Also, make sure to swap over to the Xe driver.

I actually would like to make a video answering this question so stay tuned. Thanks for leaving a comment!
