This show is a talent show put on in Russia to give opportunities to underprivileged talented children (she was 15 yo during this competition).. Diana's mom abused her, she was abandoned, picked up off the streets and put into foster home at a very young age.. She did not speak, so a concerned worker adopted her and put her into speech lessons.. Her singing voice developed from there. She started singing these type competitions at 13 years old..

Contralto is the rarest female voice type, typically low, round, full and with a wide range of chest voice. Polyphonic is two or more sound waves produced at once. Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She won the genetics lottery, and it's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.

I suspect part of her polyphonic sound involves a high-arched palate. I can hear the buzzing in her speaking voice during interviews. It's not something one can reproduce with technique alone. Her yodeling technique and female falsetto are also first class.

This is an excerpt from the Russian show "You are Super", where only orphans left without a father and mother participate. Only a live voice is used there. The principle is simple, you need to dial at least 3 green buttons to go to the next round. When Diana sang this song, she was 15 years old.
Diana was found in the entrance of the house, with a broken collarbone and a damaged chest. She was only 3 years old, the police took Diana to a shelter, where she was adopted by a physiotherapist - masseur.

northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where
she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was
still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage
therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the
first to recognize something special in this little girl, and

Her voice is unique, at least I have never heard anything similar. There are other performances of her available, which are also great. Recently she has issued her first long play cd, which is called "D.A." And her last name should be pronounces as "Un-koo-dee-nah-vah". The stress falls on the 3rd syllable. Easy )

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She won the genetics lottery, and it's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.
And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.
She was 15 here. She has the rare contralto female voice that I find addicting and unforgettable. It's been said that her unusual larynx creates a sound with polyphonic overtones. One in a billion. @@johickey3158 I used to have several social media accounts but I found I spent all day on them. I have UA-cam and Instagram now and that's it! I may even pack them in because it eats so much of my day. Getting too bloody old for this, plus it's time to think about travelling again! Thinking about a trip to St. Petersburg by car to the next concert Diana gives there! Then up through Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and back home - eventually :) I LOVE to travel!
