    This is excellent and so generous of you to offer the plans for free. I will store these plans away for the spring when I hope to make a few of these God willing. Thanks again ❤

      If you’re planning on making more than one, I’d make hardboard templates to pattern from.
      Glad you liked it. Good luck!

      @@tswwoodworkingyes indeed that’s my plan. I tend to make my templates out of MDF so hopefully that will also suffice for this project. Love the design and look forward to your future projects. Happy Thanksgiving buddy 🦃

    Just finished the first one. I converted the wood to 5/4 which took a little rework but the results were fine. Going to use this one as my templates to make a set of 6 chairs. Thank you very much for the free templates.

    If you framed it with 3/4 marine grade plywood and decked it (seat, back and arms) with cedar, it would last decades. The decking would be replaceable and the frame everlasting. I think the plywood idea is genius. No splitting or cracking around the bolts... Beautiful chair.

      Thank you!
      But, I mainly used the plywood to make my prototype.
      I like the weight of the cedar, easy to move around.
      Main thing is to keep busy doing what you enjoy doing.
      Thanks again

    Great video and thank you for the plans. I can wait to start my chairs.Did the 5 pieces of 1"x6"x12' only make 1 chair?

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  Місяць тому

      Yes, that’s correct.
      That’s what I’d start with. Should be clear when you print out templates and lay it out.
      Make sure printer size is 100%. Many of them auto adjust.

    Thank you for the free plans!! Would it be possible to make the back concave (curve contour)?

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  4 місяці тому

      The upper and lower stretchers where back slats attach are concaved.
      It’ll give you a curved back.
      When you print out templates, you’ll see. I probably made a comment about it in the video too.
      Good luck!

    I checked my printer everything looks good. Some dimensions are OK some are off.

      Sorry for the trouble.
      I reprinted all the pages out. They are 1x1” squares.
      Only thing I can think of is when you overlap the pages to line up the 1” squares that is where the issue is.
      Since half the square is on one page and half is on the next page, they overlap a bit.
      Since I printed it out, I’ll draw in some alignment triangles that overlap the pages. Then, upload the file again.

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  4 місяці тому

      I added some alignment triangles on the pdf to help when taping the pages together and reloaded pdf with a new link.
      My printer did give me the right lengths when I printed it out.
      Hope that helps.
      Sorry you were having trouble. I thought the 1" squares would work for people to align the pages. I should have added the triangles before.
      Good luck.

    G’day, all the way from Australia! Very new to woodworking. Is there supposed to be holes on the back box verticals to attach the armrest ? Help needed as it is doing my head in 😂

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  6 місяців тому

      Yes, pivot holes are 12.5” up on vertical pieces.
      If you look at 12:00 on video.
      Just center them on vertical pieces.
      Hope that helps! Good luck!

      Is your printer set to 100%?
      They should be 1” squares.
      Some printers auto adjust.
      Let me know if that was it.

    Beautiful chair. What size spacers did you use for the seat slats?

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  8 місяців тому +2

      Thank you!
      I spaced them about 3/16”.
      If I’m lazy, sometimes I just use two drill bits as the spacers to get the spacing the way I want.

    Hello, can you tell me what size the armrest should be in centimeters?

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  3 місяці тому +1

      Yes the arms are 71.12 x 13.97 cm (which is 28 x 5.5 inches)

    What do you use for hardware to connect the folding piece

    • @tswwoodworking
      @tswwoodworking  5 місяців тому +1

      Carriage (stove) bolts.
      Except for one set of lag screws.
      I think I listed hardware on first page of pdf.
      Good luck with project!

  • @joshl8015
    @joshl8015 9 місяців тому

    Good content but you’re missing a lot of information. There’s a lot of pieces of wood that’s used, that isn’t on the build sheet. Also you don’t say what bolts or lags go where. Maybe a step by step with pictures as you add each piece would be better.

    • @tswwoodworking

      Thanks Josh,
      All the straight square parts are in list on first page.
      All the parts with curves are on the template pages to cut out, which also show bolt hole placement.
      Lag screws are the only odd hardware that I show at about 11:15.
      Hope that helps!
