With a handful of seeds, it all evolved into fresh fruit, sugarcane, corn and okra . I stored some away and filled belly’s on Sunday. Then I set up a sidewalk trade and we kept love in our, sacred soul, it was pure, kind, abundant and substantial. I kissed me, when our lips pressed together, it was warm inside. So true, Charlemagne!!! My roommate in the Marines, who was my best friend, was my best friend because of a trauma bond. Once I woke up and stopped taking his stuff, our relationship ended. He couldn't take the new dynamic the relationship had, so he ghosted me. I'm good because my life hasn't missed a beat.

The BEST definition of love I’ve ever heard was coined by the late psychiatrist M Scott Peck in his book The Road Less Traveled. It totally revolutionized my understanding of Love as something operational, not emotional. His definition: Love is the will(feelings are deceiving) to extend one’s self (effort) for the purpose of (purposeful) nurturing one’s own and another’s spiritual growth.” He argues we cannot love another absent loving ourselves, and that it requires exercise of the will which he distinguishes from our desires. By his definition, we can love people we don’t like because their spiritual evolution is what matters. That’s a tall order and is consistent with the teachings of Jesus. Read his book. It will change your life.💝
