Oh hey, I love these guys! It’s so rare to see them get attention, but their brand of mathy instrumentals (and occasionally not instrumentals) always just makes you feel *good.*
Ooh! I know I’ve commented on other videos how surprised I was by the bands you reacted to, but this one really caught me off guard the most. I love Elephant Gym. One of my favorite bassists ever, and a favorite band of mine. My band Strelitzia had the fortune of playing with them and Lite in 2019. Needless to say, they both killed it, and they were incredibly nice people.
@@progperljungman8218 Thanks! We’re in the middle of recording a new LP at the moment. One of the demos, Sben is up on our bandcamp and I honestly think it’s the best thing we’ve released to date
"Finger" is a piece dedicated to the legendary, excellent Japanese math rock band "Toe". I recommend this concert - ua-cam.com/video/kb3o5C3kbnA/v-deo.html And from the songs of the band founded by the siblings Tell Chang Kai-hsiung (guitar) and Tif Chang Kai-ting (bass), I recommend Underwater - ua-cam.com/video/jDDy-Vh55to/v-deo.html
Toe is amazing. I had the privilege of seeing them live twice during my years in Asia. Mindblowing. The Buenos Aires gig on UA-cam is also great, I think the audio mix on that one is slightly better.
@@viaverde3153 Absolutely. Fantastic technique and a lot of emotion. In the Buenos Aires gig I mentioned, he plays "a note" (a beat?) by throwing one of his drumsticks at the snare from six feet away, it's pretty funny.
Oh, my eyes weren't on the ball- somebody else recommended some Chinese music before I could. Elephant Gym is good. 人生。 音乐。 ✌️ I never went to Taiwan, so most of my exposure was to Mainland music, and not much of that falls into the purview of "prog rock". I had, however, seriously considered recommending a Hedgehog tune...
I'd really like to see you react to the Franck Carducci Band's live version of "A Brief Tale of Time". Highly theatrical melodic prog in both the visual and musical sense. An artist who deserves to be more well-known IMO. "Franck Carducci - A Brief Tale Of Time [Live DVD/Blu-Ray]" @ ua-cam.com/video/3QfI26ZJUf0/v-deo.html&pbjreload=101
Thank you Dean, KT is one of my favorite bass players. Both her and her brother Tell are classically trained. I'm glad you like them.

🥰🥰🥰this is realy good!
This is my first time listening to a Taiwanese band.
It was very good.
It was very comfortable music. I felt the summer breeze.
人生音楽 謝謝台灣
Yes a fresh breeze

Just have to check out Strelitzia now. Just started. Sounds really exciting 2 min into Don't Wake Up the Threes!
Loving it!

@@okkinen The phenomenal drummer Kashikura Takashi, one of the best I have ever heard.

Would be really cool to get a toe react video. Toe opened me up to so many great math rock artists in asia.
Very proggy 😁 I like it! I have to think of a great Neo Prog song for the next reaction down the road.
This is an excellent band. Glad you find them.
Elephant Gym is sick, spotify recommended them to me a few years ago
