  • This episode of my solo overland expedition across Africa is a very special one. I wanted to make a documentary about one of the most fascinating tribes of Africa: The Batwa people of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Forest. On my way to the middle of the rainforest, Charles, the owner of Kiho lodge is bringing me to the Ruhija Community School of the village. 127 orphans and local children live in the pink house. We spend half of the day together: we dance, we sing, we talk, and we laugh. This day is a very magical one that definitely changed something in me. And I hope this is contagious. Enjoy this moment with all your heart and please let me know your thoughts.

CR, thank you for the presentation. I can't but help myself other than being objectively truthful. Africa is harsh: it is harsh to outsiders and even harsher to its own children. It is punishing, it violent, it is uncompromising, and it is, at times even cowardly. Yet, at the same time, its gives its best, like you just did. It gives delightfully, unreservedly and promises to give forever. If we Africans could only reconcile ourselves to its majesty, grace and generosity! Cheers, CR!

The richness of Africa is that its peoples care for their own, individualism has no place in their culture, and in their community is true richness found... it's not about possessions and ownership... its about a simple lifestyle where those with more share with those who have less and tomorrow when I have less you will support me with your more...
Your video so well captured the simple lifestyle, thank you for sharing, it is the story of Africa.

Wonderful people ❣ But why are The Batwa people evicted from their ancestral forest? Another tribe pushed away from their land, it seems systematic ! It's not right !
