- These Boots off of the original Killing is my Business album....
You keep saying you got something for me
Something you call love, but I call sex
You've been kissing when you ought-to-be-a-screwing
And now someone else can kiss your ass
These boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you
You been lying and there ain't no believing
And you keep sayin,What you on about bitch
You been staying when you ought-to-be-a-leaving
Now whats right is right but you ain't been right yet
These boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you
You've keep dressing ways you shouldn't be dressing
And you keep thinking that you'll never get burned, ha!
I just found me a brand new box spring matress
What you know, bitch, you got a lot to learn
These boots are made for walking
That's just what they'll do
And one of these days these boots
Are gonna stomp all over you
Are you ready boots?
Start walking
And you think I'm kidding, don't ya?!
Dave Mustaine: "Lee Hazlewood says my cover is a vile, vulgar, offensive cover. What I find vile and vulgar is that they were happy to collect a royalty check for years before complaining about it." (paraphrased)
Damn Mustaine
SAD TO SAY LEE FUCKIN HAZELWOOD OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE SONG AND MANY YEARS LATTER HE TOOK LEGAL ACTION BANNING THE FROM BEING RELEASED ON THE KILLING IS MY BUISNESS RERLEASE
More than one Skinhead band has covered this. Some adding racist lyrics to it. Guess Lee Hazelwood never heard those versions...
so damn true
absolutely kinda fucked up waiting so long before complaining
*EXCESSIVE BEEPING INTENSIFIES*
You're NIEN!!! VERBOTEN!!!! to Kommentczsie (bleeping continues)
"I just found me a brand new box spring mattress"
I'm dying
Dan Heim kcband
Can you explain? Haha English is not my native
@@pascuelena8930 basically a new mattress, the giant pillow on your bed that makes it a bed
@@pascuelena8930 it's probably a reference to that someone has found a new place to have sex at
@@pascuelena8930brand new box of matches
lol the censored version makes this seem much more explicit
+batmankixass Ruins the melody though
It actually wasn't censored because it was explicit, the censored parts are the ones that Dave modified.
If only they could do one with just out the vocals.
Mustaine didn't choose to censor it. Hazelwood (who wrote it) legally forced it.
zzzhuh
Your opinion is fucking garbage.
Gar is an absolute machine on this song. Magnificent drumming.
He was a BEAST, absolutely.
Yeeeah 🤘
Super underrated drummer. Added so much to thrash drumming
Chris fuckin' Poland!!!! Those leads sound so damn good.
MegaThrasher95 Fuck yea!
The Bass line is simply amazing...
This is how you do a fucking cover. This and I Ain't Superstitious from Peace Sells are such cool songs. I can't think of too many heavy metal bands just throwing a song like this on their album, and actually owning it completely. Not any at this given moment.
KrisJM1234 sex pistols original version of problems is better
As much as I love Killing Is My Business, it has nothing on Kill 'Em All.
@@joedec I guess Dave's writing got worse
@@svilendenchev9984 Not that at all. I love Killing is my Business. It's actually my 2nd favorite Megadeth album (right behind Rust in Peace). It's just that when I compare the two debut albums, I would have to pick Kill 'Em All
KIMB>kill em all. It's just so groovy.
Holy shit, the uncensored, unremastered version of this was hard to find for years, thanks for uploading this album man
The most anger album of history hellyeah
Then why did you censor it still? The guy is dead so your free to put it back
@Papyzeff well, Toni Iommi don't play spped nor thrash and he's a god as well
@@megajaredx9679bro seriously thinks he is speaking to Dave Mustaine 😂
The first time i heard this song was with the bleeps in while i was driving...unfortunately the alarm sounds in my jeep sound the same as the bleeps in the song, i was frantically looking for an oil over heat light, or an engine light for the duration of the song.
Oh wow, my first time ever hearing the original. SO MUCH better than the remaster, especially his voice.
The remasters suck. I hate that he’s done that. He pitched it down and re did the vocals. Sucks , I don’t like it. Pitched the track down, that’s insane he did that.
@@jobulog4545 i agree
Remasters always suck.
Gar Samuelson is probably the most underrated drummer ever in rock, heavy metal and thrash metal. Insane drumming!
Facts!
I’m so glad I got to see this lineup live. They were never the same once Chris and Gar were no longer in the band.
Drugs and alcohol abuse destroy anything in their path. Always thought the first 2 records had a punk rock feel. It was never the same sonically the third record wasn't nearly as "rrrarrr" compared to first 2.
I was a roadie for Dane and the boys during this tour......INSANITY!!!!
Cmon, Nick Menza was a beat too. I agree Gar was their best drummer though.
Nah disagree this lineup was good but their 90s lineup was better imo
Gar probably took some heroin before recording this, because I'm getting exhausted only by listening to the drums, RIP legend
Heroin is a downer, not an upper. I would cocaine lmao Megadeth couldn't afford heroin then
They definitely had heroin and they would shoot it up in the toilets before recording. All the budget was spent on speed balls (Cocaine and heroin) so they had to get more I’m pretty sure
Heroin is much cheaper than coke. They were doing speedballs which is speed heroin mix. All 4 of them were wired out during recording they had advance money plus playing out at night during recording.
Heroin is an opiate. It's supposed to knock you out, not hype you up. . ;)
Cocaine*
This is a good example of Mustaine's mastership in music.
But also of Gar Samuelson, Chris Poland and David Ellefson
i cant listen to this now when i play it all i hear is the censored version with all the bleeps
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
Adapt and overcome....
Censored ? i own the Album. *80s when PC shit didn't exist
Hkku
I'm so happy that the first time I listened to all megadeth's discography was with all the albums being the original version. I even didn't knew that all the shitty remixes existed back then. But I gotta admit that the sfsgsw it's better than the original
this song is a balls out thrashard jam from back in the day!!!
I'm glad there's different strokes for different folks because this is a damn good remake from a damn good band from a damn good time in music history from a totally and absolutely killer fricken' album!!!!!
I personally love the "And one of these days these boots
Are gonna *BEEP* all over you"
I know right. This version almost ruined the song for me. I thought it was these boots are gonna s**t all over you for years.....
Best Thrash Debut album of all time
Without a doubt. Makes Kill Em All sound like a pop record
You spelt Kill 'em All wrong
Oh yes
And the best Thrash Metal album ever
Alexis Huerta lol kill em all walks all over this
this is why dave mustane is the man!
+Mark Hein
This is all Poland on the solos.
zzzhuh Mustaine is the mind behind all of the songs.
I love how Megadeth took this song and made it into a heavy metal song
hahahahaha PEEEEEEEP PEEEP EPEEEEEEEP
Julien Verveer HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAH :v
+Julien Verveer my ears still ache from those memories...volume cranked...not expecting it at all....BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
Dave kicked Nancy Sinatra's butt with this song
Yep dave is a bad ass
They are both good and hers is better for her genre and his is better for his why compare the two
was there like a feud between them or what?
ChickenMcPussy no but i guess the dude didn’t want a thrash band covering this but i think Nancy herself didn’t really even care
No, I think he just kicked her dog
Nancy Sinatra would be proud.
Merritt Falkner lol
Merritt Falkner Shes still alive you know. 😆😁
Actually, she hated it.
Danielch really? Who pushed her to do it?
@@DanielCh9393 hahaha fuck
Oh hello bassline! Hello everything about this 😍
During the tuning of the radio station, "gloria gloria!"
Brandibb ?
Damn Lee Hazelwood, the guy who originally wrote this song, for kicking up a big stink over this version. If anything, he should've been flattered that a metal band would even think of choosing to cover this instead of something more obvious.
lynchie137 amen
He connected with this song, he remembered the song "These boots are made for walkin'" by Nancy Sinatra, from his mothers car parket with the radio on max out to the beach. c:
i dont understand the backlash Hazelwood had for this, you have to pay pretty close attention to hear all the words
And even more attention to understand them
The thrash/jazz mix is great. Gar's drumming on this song is amazing, too.
I know everyone loves Marty Friedman and Nick Menza, and rightly so, but holy hell, Chris Poland was a fine guitar player, and Gar Samuelson is just a machine gun!
best intro of pretty much any song, it's jazzy but heavy
The superior version of the song overall, always and forever! 🤘 Gar Samuelson's drumming here is nothing short of amazing! May God rest his soul. 🙏
Gar is such a beast. Most underated metal drummer
Reminds me of Motorhead! I can definately hear the influence!
I used to stomp all over my drums listening to this song
King Ace Hernandez he’s a great guy but he just doesn’t understand how to play his drums......
This makes David ellefson sound like a cliff burton with the constant bass line
TheLegend 27
Dave ellefson is better than cliff burton
You're drunk. Burton was a far better musician overall. And i'm a HUGE fan of David. But you def. need to take a field test for sobriety.
Snuggs Stovall Cliff was a better songwriter and musician, but his skill as a bassist had to be dumbed down for Metallica
@@devPunks Nah. I love Cliff and Metallica but Ellefson is without a doubt better.
Kasperr as a man who plays blths bands first 4 albums entirely, megadeth always feels like a walk in the park( rythm)...
It’s a Cover allright.....but I think it is done in a super original and creative Fashion.
Like a little Piece of Art!
It is Waaaay bigger than its Trash Metal Frame. It is super rhythmic and groovy!
And I cannot stop listen to it.
The reason I love my original Vinyle album.
vinyl
Gar has been such influence on me it is insane ! I am gonna start taking Jazz next year in highschool and I have been getting books on jazz and music industry stuff I am gonna go to Musicians Institute after I get out of highschool so I am starting to get ready...the earlier the better !
How’d it go man?
Easily the best cover. But the demo of this is gnarly.
I remember when I first found it, the 2 intro solos from Mustaine and Poland absolutely blew me away. They were absolute monsters back then
Edit: And Poland still is
Better then the original
"better than" not better then. Quit making my fellow metalheads look stupid.
+Richard McIntyre
Not all of "your fellow" Metalheads are native english speakers, so with english as second or even third or fourth language, minor spelling mistakes may happen.
+Thoraskin This is the original you dumb fuck
Michail Bialkovicz The original was performed by Nancy Sinatra. Take your boots and walk on home Michail
Michail Bialkovicz who's the dumb fuck now??? Hahahahahahaha. I love it when people like you make asses out of yourselves.
Dave is a Huge fan of Nancy Sinatra, well Killer song anyway 🤘🤘🤘
The guitar tone is just, muah chefs kiss
probably one of the best intros to a song, this is one of my favorites to play on bass.
Thanks for posting dude first time I heard this song without the beeping
the fucking drums holy shit
Gar Samuelson was a beast on drums!!!
Julio Ferrer No, kidding, a drum legend in my opinion
One of the best megadeth drummers
marc lachance The Best drummer in Megadeth history. Period
This is so much better than that fkn remaster
The best version.
Nancy should have covered a Megadeth song. Fair is fair. She still could...
What would she have covered? 🤔
@@bezoticallyyours83 Good question. I'm going to go with "The Hardest Part of Letting Go... Sealed with a Kiss" from Endgame. It's not too late. She's still alive.
@@peterpandemonium3336 👍
Funny that Hazelwood is dead, yet Mustaine still chose not to put this version of the song on the recent remaster of KIMB. He instead re-recorded it. A cover of a cover that wasn't even a cover. Weird.
Princess Olmeca yeah I was bummed. I thought that would finally be the opportunity to put out the uncensored original
Princess Olmeca the estate wouldve fucked him if he did that whether hazelwood was dead or not
@@busterthebear6756 It's been almost 40 years at this point and Mustaine has a ton of money. Couldn't his estate have gone to Hazelwood's estate to do some sort of out of court settlement to have the original 'Deth version re-released somehow? Or is that just not possible at this point? Because I would love to hear this version all cleaned up.
@@princessolmeca2933 Maybe it'll be out on the 40th anniversary version…
me and my band played this at Battle of the Bands at my high school and everyone loved it but we lost cause I said a few curse words It really pissed us off but this song is Hardcore best cover ever made.
Currently trying to buy an original cd of this album on ebay but its so damn expensive! not just that most people are asking for like 5-10$ in shipping. I will own this cd though!!
Im pretty late but I bought the original cd with all 8 tracks on it. You can find original presses from back then but it doesnt have "These Boots". I actually got the cd maybe around the time I commented this xD
Yeah I had a hard time trying to find one too. Got one that had all the songs except this one on it. So i guess i never could find it anyway. 😔
Thanx for the lyrics, never knew there was a censored version. Still got my original vinyl platter from 1985. Issued on Music For Nation catalogue number MFN 46.
God damn, this is absolute fire!
Strava pesma, retko ko ostvruje takvu energiju.
this song is intense! it's the kind that makes you look for trouble and wild!
I was so pissed off when the remastered version had a censored version. Thank you for uploading this.
Gar’s fucking drums on this are unreal. Far superior to the remastered version
I have heard alot of versions of this song, even country... i didnt think Megadeth wrote it. WOW awsome!
they didn’t write it?
it's a cover
¡Me encanta! La canción es muy sexy...
Much appreciated.
this is the best version ever!
good stuff
Thanks, Hoss!
Had this on limited vinyl, lost it many years ago, so sad
Censorship is dumb.
I had to delete the censored version, it's too bad
This is great.
The fun part about the bleeped version is that you can do your own improv durring the bleeps, but all in all this is the best version.
the drumming is godlike
That divebombing bassline rocks my socks off.
2:05 to 2:14 sounds like Take No Prisoners
Freaking awesome song
I want this origonal CD so bad!
The number one speed metal band in the world 1986 87

Nice arrangement from the original one!
Haha awesome cover!
