According to Islam as per the Qur’an and the Sunnah your practices in this month are based on fabrications and innovations. Allah perfected and completed the religion of Islam in the lifetime of the Prophet PBUH and he did not practice anything of the sort. As per Sahih Muslim 2408 a ( Quran and Ahle Bait عليه السلام are 2 things the prophet ﷺ left for us ) the Quran and Sunnah Hadith isn’t from the Sahih Hadiths even for you guys , so with all due respect we take our religion from the Quran and the Ahle Bait. The Majalis of imam Hussain were held by imam Sajjad عليه السلام and Bibi Zainab عليه السلام to revive the memory of imam Hussain عليه السلام every year people would sit in gatherings and listen to noha and recitation about the what happened in Karbala and how imam Hussain and his holy family scarifies their lives to save Islam. Our imams Such as Imam Jafar as Sadiq عليه السلام established the constitution of Majalis and Matam which is what we follow and take from even before this we have many Hadiths from your Sunni text which show us that the prophet ﷺ cried for imam Hussain عليه السلام ‘s Shahadat why before anyone else did : 1) A’ishah recounted, “Al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali came into the house while revelation was being given to the Noble Prophet (S). He grabbed the Prophet’s waist and climbed up on his back and started playing. The Archangel Jibra’il (Gabriel) said to the Holy Prophet, ‘O Muhammad! Verily, soon it will be that your ummah will create sedition and conspiracy after you and kill this child of yours.’ Then, Gabriel stretched his fist out and brought out clay which he gave to the Noble Prophet (S). He said, ‘It is in this land where your child will be killed. A land called “Taff”.’ When the Archangel Gabriel left, the Prophet of Allah joined his companions. He still had the clay in his hands. Among them were Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Ali, Hadhayfah, ‘Ammar and Abu Dharr. The Holy Prophet (S) started crying. They asked, ‘Why are you crying, O Prophet of Allah?’ He answered, ‘Gabriel has told me that my child al-Husayn will surely be killed in a land called Taff. He brought clay for me from that land. He also informed me that al-Husayn will be buried in that same place’.” Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Al-Musnad, vol. 3, p. 342 . ( this provides that the prophet ﷺ cried for imam Hussain and also knew the land as Karbala and had the clay given to him from Karbala ) 2) Ibn ‘Asakir narrates that Najja said, “Imam ‘Ali (as) and I started off on a journey. When we reached the valley of Naynawa, which is on the way to Siffin, Imam ‘Ali (as) gave out a loud cry and said, ‘O Aba ‘Abd Allah! Bear patiently near the River Euphrates, O Aba ‘Abd Allah!’ Najja says he asked Imam ‘Ali (as) why he had said this. Imam ‘Ali replied, ‘One day, I visited the Noble Prophet and found him shedding tears. I asked, ‘O Prophet of Allah! Has anyone made you angry? Why are you crying?’ The Holy Prophet answered, ‘A few moments ago, the Archangel Gabriel was here. He informed me that al-Husayn will be killed next to the River Euphrates’.” Najja recounts, “Imam ‘Ali (as) said to me, ‘Do you want me to give you a part of the soil on which al-Husayn will be killed? Do you want to smell it?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ Then, he stretched his hand out and gave me a handful of the soil. I could not control myself, and hence my tears fell. Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Al-Musnad, vol. 1, p. 58 ( this Hadith proves that imam Ali عليه السلام cried for imam Hussain and visited Karbala and respected the soil of this land before the event of Karbala took place ) 3) On his own chain of transmission, Ibn ‘Asakir narrates that Ja‘far ibn Muhammad (as) said, “It was asked of ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) why he used to cry so much for Imam al-Husayn (as). He answered, ‘Do not reproach me, because when Jacob (Ya‘qub) lost one of his children, he cried so much that his eyes became white, and yet he knew that his child was alive and had not died, but I saw fourteen of my family members slaughtered in one morning. Do you want the sorrow and pain which I feel for them to leave my heart? Mukhtasar Tarikh Damishq, trans. Imam Zayn al-‘Abidin (as), p. 56; Hiliyah al-Awliya’, vol. 3, p. 138. ( this proves imam Sajjad cried for imam Hussain عليه السلام ) 4) Sibt ibn Jawzi narrates, “After al-Husayn got killed, ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abbas constantly cried for him until his eyes became blind.Tadhkirah al-Khawass, p. 152. ( proved that Ibn Abbas cried so much for imam Hussain that he become blind , willing losing his sight to grieve the grandson of the prophet ﷺ ) Mourning for imam Hussain is the Sunnah of our holy prophet ﷺ and his holy family as we take our deen from them we follow what they did , these were some Hadiths from your Sunni text for your references so you can go to them and see that this happened . The land of Karbala the soil of Karbala was important to the prophet ﷺ and imam Ali has also been to this Land before the killing of Hussain عليه السلام and he cried touching the soil so the Shia visiting this land is of the Sunnah of the prophet ﷺ and imam ali عليه السلام . You said that we should not say Ya Ali Ya Hussain as it is Shrik let’s ask the prophet how one should do Dua through the Waslia of the prophet ﷺ and see what we get : It was narrated from ‘Uthman bin Hunaif that a blind man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: “Pray to Allah to heal me.” He said: “If you wish to store your reward for the Hereafter, that is better, or if you wish, I will supplicate for you.” He said: “Supplicate.” So he told him to perform ablution and do it well, and to pray two Rak’ah, and to say this supplication: “Allahumma inni as’aluka wa atawajjahu ilaika bimuhammadin nabiyyir-rahmah. Ya Muhammadu inni qad tawajjahtu bika ila rabbi fi hajati hadhihi lituqda. Allahumma fashaffi’hu fiya (O Allah, I ask of You and I turn my face towards You by virtue of the intercession of Muhammad the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad, I have turned to my Lord by virtue of your intercession concerning this need of mine so that it may be met. O Allah, accept his intercession concerning me)”. Sunan Ibn Majah 1385 Here the prophet ﷺ didn’t pray for the person directly he asked him to pray for himself through the Waslia ( Ya Muhammad) is the wording used here so is this casted as shrik ? Is the prophet ﷺ teaching his followers to do shrik ? No he is not . Or are we trying to implement that this was only during the life time of the prophet ﷺ and that we are not allowed to pray like this after his death please inform me of any hadith or Quranic reference which says that you can only use Waslia in Dua while they are Alive . According to the Shias we use the Ahle Bait of the Prophet ﷺ as Waslia Hence why you see us say Ya Ali Ya Hussain or Ya Muhammad, if this is shrik then you will first have decide who taught us this Shrik either you have to say that astafirallah the prophet ﷺ taught us shrik or say that saying Ya Ali Ya Hussain Ya Muhammad is not Shrik and that some Sunnis just over exaggerate the matter out of context. What the shias do or say may sound strange to you but it all references back to the Sunnah and the Sirat of the prophet ﷺ and the ahle Bait of the Prophet ﷺ .
Saying Ya Hussain isn’t associating Imam Hussain with Allah it’s simply saying ‘ O Hussain as a form of Waslia please don’t complicate matters more then they need to be . I have never heard anyone say that it’s shrik to ask someone to do dua for you except today, Karbala is a place where our holy prophet ﷺ’s Grandson Hussain is Buried this place is full of blessings and For sure Allah will accept your Duas in Karbala now you can say you don’t want to do it yourself but don’t deem the ones who do to shrik because it doesn’t make sense to you . I think a lot of people don’t understand what shrik is : Shrik is willingly or unwillingly believing that a Person who is not Allah can give u anything independent . For explain ; if I say ‘ Ya Allah with the Sadka of the prophet ﷺ ‘s Grandson imam Hussain and the Sadka of this Holy Soil of Karbala Ya Allah Grant me Shifa ( I have not commited shrik ) Ya Ali عليه السلام With the permission from Allah please grant me my wish ( I have not committed shrik ) Ya Hussain , Ya Ali Ya Muhammad you grant me my wish independently without the permission of Allah and you hold the power to grant me my wish without the Izan of Allah ( this would be Shrik ) Everyone has there own intention and they will be judged on that you can’t sit here and deem everyone Kafir or committing shrik just because you may not understand the concept of Waslia very well . Often we may think something is wrong only people who don’t understand it well enough . May Allah keep us steadfast of the path of those who Allah is pleased with the ones who are the masters of Jannah may Allah give us all the Tofeeq to understand deen through the wisdom of the prophet ﷺ and his holy household Ameen ❤️❤️
Crying is human nature. When a child is born if he does not cry then the family cry because they think there is something wrong. all the prophets cried including Jacob, who se crying is mentioned in the holy Quran and he cried so much that he turned blind …people warned him he will go blind but he carried on crying even though he knew Joseph was alive. Allah did not reprimand him indeed mentioned it in the Quran because he liked it so much, so who are you? As for the mourning and the laments Allah says in the Quran I do not like wailing or screaming unless it is for injustice so again it is allowed and commended , afterall what greater injustice is there than what was done to Imam Hussain. Noah was not named Noah which means the wailer but because he used to cry and wail (that’s why we call the lamenters Noah readers Noahkwann . He got the title because Allah chose it so it is groundless to criticise. Adam lost his son killed by his other son, Allah tells Adam to Wail on him. Moses mother died when line informed him of it. Moses began to cry till he fainted when he regained consciousness. Allah says to Moses Moses cry for your mother cry more because it is her right. Theholy prophet peace be upon him and his pure family cried at the death of his son Qasim. Also when Hamza was martyred and his liver eaten and chewed by the grandmother of Yazid Lannati the prophet came back to Medina from the battle and found people crying over there martyrs in Uhad he then complained and said you cry over your own but is there no one to cry over my uncle Hamza then the companions ordered their wives in Medina to mourn and cry for Hamza and This carried on for three days . When the angels came to Sarah to inform her of her son it says in the holy Quran that she slapped her face she beat her face now neither did a lot condemned this he would’ve said in the Quran this was wrong now that is there any record of the profit Ibraheem having condemned Constantly we do things to improve our physical being which involve short term self harm for example going to the gym. There is a danger of One having a heart attack but in the greater good this is deemed allowed because it improves the physical condition. Similarly beating of chests is scientifically proven to improve mental well-being and we know from personal experience it elevates the spirit so the spiritual benefits are undoubtable and there is no lasting long-term effects. As to why it has done every year well the sacrifice of Ismail was accepted and a sheep was given. Ismael did not die. Ismael was not killed and yet Allah deemed it worthy that because there was a possibility of Ismail being slain and Ibraheem passed his test that this test should be remembered every year in the form of Hajj And in the Quran, we are told that the sacrifice of Ismael was replaced by a great sacrifice and that is clearly the sacrifice of imam Hussain in Karbala where no sheep came to save hi. He was actually sacrificed. So for those with eyes it is proven that these acts of morning are completely in line with Islamic beliefs and the way of the prophets. Condemning beating oneself you should condemn also Aisha who beat herself on the passing of the prophet recorded by ibn Isaac the teacher of buhari . she says I saw the other ladies coming and beating their face and chest with one hand at the death of the profit. I then got up and started beating my face with two hearts. Syed Khomeini used to say that this chest beating is a miracle people asked him why and he replied it is a slap in the face of Yazidiyat .. is it not a wonder that you slap your own chests but rather than you feel the pain the pain is felt in the watchers chests in form of hatred at the act. Ya Ali عليه السلام With the permission from Allah please grant me my wish ( I have not committed shrik )
Ya Hussain , Ya Ali Ya Muhammad you grant me my wish independently without the permission of Allah and you hold the power to grant me my wish without the Izan of Allah ( this would be Shrik )
Everyone has there own intention and they will be judged on that you can’t sit here and deem everyone Kafir or committing shrik just because you may not understand the concept of Waslia very well .
Often we may think something is wrong only people who don’t understand it well enough .
May Allah keep us steadfast of the path of those who Allah is pleased with the ones who are the masters of Jannah may Allah give us all the Tofeeq to understand deen through the wisdom of the prophet ﷺ and his holy household Ameen ❤️❤️

Crying is human nature. When a child is born if he does not cry then the family cry because they think there is something wrong. all the prophets cried including Jacob, who se crying is mentioned in the holy Quran and he cried so much that he turned blind …people warned him he will go blind but he carried on crying even though he knew Joseph was alive. Allah did not reprimand him indeed mentioned it in the Quran because he liked it so much, so who are you? As for the mourning and the laments Allah says in the Quran I do not like wailing or screaming unless it is for injustice so again it is allowed and commended , afterall what greater injustice is there than what was done to Imam Hussain. Noah was not named Noah which means the wailer but because he used to cry and wail (that’s why we call the lamenters Noah readers Noahkwann . He got the title because Allah chose it so it is groundless to criticise. Adam lost his son killed by his other son, Allah tells Adam to Wail on him. Moses mother died when line informed him of it. Also when Hamza was martyred and his liver eaten and chewed by the grandmother of Yazid Lannati the prophet came back to Medina from the battle and found people crying over there martyrs in Uhad he then complained and said you cry over your own but is there no one to cry over my uncle Hamza then the companions ordered their wives in Medina to mourn and cry for Hamza and This carried on for three days . When the angels came to Sarah to inform her of her son it says in the holy Quran that she slapped her face she beat her face now neither did a lot condemned this he would’ve said in the Quran this was wrong now that is there any record of the profit Ibraheem having condemned Constantly we do things to improve our physical being which involve short term self harm for example going to the gym. There is a danger of One having a heart attack but in the greater good this is deemed allowed because it improves the physical condition. Similarly beating of chests is scientifically proven to improve mental well-being and we know from personal experience it elevates the spirit so the spiritual benefits are undoubtable and there is no lasting long-term effects. As to why it has done every year well the sacrifice of Ismail was accepted and a sheep was given. Ismael did not die. Ismael was not killed and yet Allah deemed it worthy that because there was a possibility of Ismail being slain and Ibraheem passed his test that this test should be remembered every year in the form of Hajj And in the Quran, we are told that the sacrifice of Ismael was replaced by a great sacrifice and that is clearly the sacrifice of imam Hussain in Karbala where no sheep came to save hi. He was actually sacrificed. So for those with eyes it is proven that these acts of morning are completely in line with Islamic beliefs and the way of the prophets. Condemning beating oneself you should condemn also Aisha who beat herself on the passing of the prophet recorded by ibn Isaac the teacher of buhari . she says I saw the other ladies coming and beating their face and chest with one hand at the death of the profit. Syed Khomeini used to say that this chest beating is a miracle people asked him why and he replied it is a slap in the face of Yazidiyat .. is it not a wonder that you slap your own chests but rather than you feel the pain the pain is felt in the watchers chests in form of hatred at the act.
