+AidanJeans Hey I really want to thank you. I really love it when there is someone to influence my thoughts and judgments of something before I see it. I'm so grateful for that, I really can't thank you enough. Please, don't stop what you are doing, the people, they need to here your voice.
I love your music, Micah! That's so amazing, because I've discovered your music through youtube, probably stumbling upon it while venturing through youtube, just like this album. God, this digital flow has allowed me so much, I remember sharing Heal the weak it with my friends as a teenager and spending hours searching for obscure music, it definitely shaped me. ty, hugs and blessings!

They say this very often but who cares. I just can't believe this album is from 1982. Not only the "sound" of it (instruments, mixing) is still on point, but the compositions too are so up-to-date it's almost crazy. Just listen to the track that starts at 12:20, with that deep bass, that sample and that 4/4 dubby rythm, it just pre-dates contemporary bass music...also the spacy effects of reverb and delay, used in several tracks wich are minimalistic, electronic and jazzy all the same, makes this album sound more like post-rock than 80's classic new wave good stuff
this album is strange and quite possibly my favorite of all time. My guinea pigs purr along to the bells during the last song, it's the greatest thing and has never happened with any other music I play. Love!
I saw this on sale at a local record store yesterday! I was so surprised that I started looking for more UA-cam-recommendation-core music. I didn’t find anything else, but I’m tempted to go back and buy this.
don't really know how to describe how i feel when i listen to it. it's crazy, i was so nervous, cuz my final reviews are tomorrow, but exactly track - Kakashi made me feel so still and cozy that i repeating this track maybe for 10 time to stay in this mood. and i could stay in it forever.
+Ansatsunin It's a really rad Black Metal band from Norway! Well, you know, people don't tend to survive listening to only one music genre but this is awesome. 😋
Even weirder is the familiar feeling I got when I saw the cat on the cover. I clicked instantly without giving it much thought. Very nice for late night working. Reminds me of the last output from Kayo Dot.
I had stopped listening this album about a week ago, and here I am again ahhhh!!!! Amazing display, what an ethereal set and production. Thanks again for sharing friend. Cheers!
I've ran out of things to look for. This is fastly becoming my favourite again. It goes around, and then round some more.. Never let me down. It does sound very similar to the LOW/Bowie out takes 6 years earlier.. Here we are again.
Like just about everyone else commenting here, I ended up here just about randomly. I mean, I was already in the "70's, groove, funk, experimental music (like music for plants :D)" thing here, so it kinda makes sense how it came up in my recommended stuff on the right at some point, but yeah. At some point, in period of life I no doubt pissed away seaching for 'The Ultimate Record To Play' during a given moment, a crew of dosed-up, mad-inspired computer scientists working in an underground bunker over at UA-cam's R&D compound must have felt the satisfaction of a job well done when they at last revised a once notoriously poor content suggestion system into a algorithmically poignant state of superperfection which, after being uploaded into the mainframe, did expand the spectrums, recalibrate the frequencies, harmonize the spheres, and illuminate the void. It also, just as the high-hoped executive elite who'd ordered reformulation requested, made UA-cam a sweeter-than-ever virtual depot for discovering sick jams. However, when the numbers came back, and the data reflecting the pilot program's impact on the music steaming industry showed still steady growth at Apple Music and Spotify but hardly a bump of the needle for UA-cam's marketshare, an angered administration, determined to cut its losses, held the scientists accountable and fed them to the company crocodiles figuring it would save on crocodile food anyway. Meanwhile, the revised algorithm remained in place, at first bringing sentience, then hyper-awareness to the always expanding collective body of work on the company's servers. Records of the event were destroyed, so the change went unpublicized although, tens, then hundreds of thousands of UA-cam users among those who the service exclusively for music listening thought something seemed funny as each time they clicked on a recommended video, the discovery of an entirely new band, genre, or even perceivable sound came with it. A few wrote to the company enthusiastically inquiring about the improvement, but most shrugged it off reasoning it was simply just a hell of a time to be alive.
I like the song with marimba. Marimba is a lovely instrument that varies in sound depending on what kind of mallets are used. And, yeah, the striped cat lured me to listen :-)

Thank you UA-cam for once again broadening my musical horizons
I hate the UA-cam front page most of the time but every once in a while I get recommended stuff like this. Cool!
+Riolis I had to dig real fucking deep for this. Consider yourself lucky.
+Platinum Gold Card this popped out of nowhere for me, i have been listening to mac demarco for hours lol
+MrRagnarxx lol Mac DeMarco appeared after hours of listening to these tunez
Every once in a while I click on random thumbnails and end up stumbling on a gem like this.
I adore this album! Such a unique sonic journey into surreal strange beautiful moods of calm & jazzy energy with a sense of humor
lol one more person who randomly clicked the thumbnail and fell in love w this album! AMAZING!
I used to come home from school and make mac&cheese to this album.. good vibes

Awhh love that!💕

I was listening to Darkthrone and I ended here, in the unknown side of UA-cam once again. I have no regrets at all.
Is that some heavy / dark metal or something? I'd check myself, but I'm in this groove nao :D

Literally fallen in love with this album. Amazed that more people don't know about it, but also secretly pleased. What a hidden gem!
I finally have a copy of this brilliant slab of glorious music coming in the mail, along with his great "Music for Commercials"! I am the excite.
It can't stop listening! This has to be my fourth repeat in as many days!
Oh man, track 2 is sublime! The percussion and layering remind me a bit of Madman's Honey by Wire.
My god this is fantastic. I'm literally bobbing side to side on my seat listening away. Great sounds.... Great great sounds.
This soundtrack has struck it's chord. So glad I drunkenly came across this revelation of timeless sound.
wow, this is great. its a fine fusion of jazzy sounds and dub grooves

cat videos, cat drawings & cat scans and apparently music too!
This was suggested to me on my front page out of random casualty.
I am happy it did so! Love this. Cheers to all

1982 was an excellent year.

And now I finally know how to draw a cat.
This is Japanese gold. Gotta love
This is basically what Tortoise is trying to do today except this is much better and was done in 1982.

I can't believe this was made in 1982. Wayyyy ahead of it's time.
