I never tire of the view westwards from the Ayrshire coast towards Arran, Bute, Great Cumbrae and Kintyre. Unfortunately, I have never been to Largs when the museum has been open. You didn't visit Vikingar!, another museum on the north side of the town. It is really more for kids than us old age pensioners but is worth a visit once (but probably never again!). If you have a bike with you, the ferry from Largs to Great Cumbrae will enable to have a gentle pedal round the fairly flat island. You can also cycle about six miles north to Wemyss Bay, from where you can take the ferry to Bute. The combined railway station and ferry terminal is one of the prettiest transport terminals in Britain in my opinion. Largs can get pretty packed in the summer though.
You should visit Largs when the museum is open, it's definitely worth a visit! Yes, we'll need to take a trip to visit Vikingar! We love Cumbrae and visited this year in summer and got great weather.
Great video. I always like to visit Nardinis when I am in Largs! The Waverley departed from London last night and is now sailing back up to Glasgow. I believe it has one more weekend of sailings on the Clyde and then that is the end of it's 2024 season.
Half of 12 is 6 half of 6 is 3 battle of Largs 1263 , anyway been to Largs lots of time but never been drawn to the pencil 🎉 can't beat a wee cone at the seaside
I been here seen pencil monument too
Hope you had better weather than we did😊
@@terrifictraveltales yes also seen vikingar in Largs too.
Thanks for the video x
Thanks for watching😊
I will have to add Largs to my list of places to go! Thanks for the tour!
You're welcome😊 Hope you have a great time in Largs when you get round to going there.
If you're after a trail walk, head up to Greeto bridge from Bellesdale Avenue. Personally think Nardinis are overrated 😬
Good shout - looks like a good walk. We'll need to check it out next time we're in Largs😊

Thank you! Interesting the Waverley was just in London - we'll need to keep an eye out for sailings in 2025😊
That's good to know, I have a lovely view of its berth on the river Clyde.
@@JI7NKJ I believe it arrived back in Glasgow last night.
I often find small local museums are well worth a visit. Largs certainly seemed to impress you..
Agreed-Largs definitely surprised us😊
Largs is a nice place, cycling from Wemyss bay to largs is nice only 7 miles.👍
Good shout-We'll need to do that next summer when it's less windy😊
Take your life in your hands on that road and very selfish.
