The carbuncle is part of the miner folklore from Chile, sadly not many people on my country know about this mythological creature, is really cool that a franchise so old like Final fantasy has at least a little representation of southamerican countries.

One if mine favorite summons. I had to add reflect into my strategy because i wanted to use him so back in ff8. But mine main thing was healing magic 😅 but he was so cute. And he came in handy against magic using enemies (I'm looking at you tiger cat monster on disc 3...in the desert 🤬).
