Wow. Thank you Alex. You are a pro. The first well explained video from I’m boxing to the real deal just awesome thank you great video property. The best video on UA-cam how to set up this interface.
Fantastic video. Been looking at this for a while and you've sold them for me! Am a Vinyl man through n through. Controllers bore the hell out me. No fun at all. Can I ask what you record and edit your videos with? Hello & best wishes from Scotland 🏴
Hi there, glad the video helped. Yes this will keep you using your vinyl turntables for many more happy years to come, plus you get the feel and pleasure of mixing with vinyl too. I have a very 'hefty' laptop, so I've not experianced any lag at all, so I would also suggest making sure you have a fairly up to date computer. Check out my mixes, and you can see me mixing with the vinyl using rekordbox. So I record the video's using my Canon 5D mk IV, and Canon 750d DSLR cameras. I edit using Adobe Premier Pro. For my live streams, I use a webcam and a DJI Osmo Action 3 camera, and record these mixes with OBS, which I then edit using Premiere Pro also. Glad you enjoyed the video, and glad you're going to purchase this setup!
Just about to get one of these for the same reason you did. My old traktor 4 dj had a phono pass through so you simply flicked the source from line to phono rather than having to click in software..... The rekorbox software must be converting from phono level to line lever... Maybe even digitally converting??? I think thats a deal breaker for me..... Shame cos I fancied recordbox so I could sort sticks out for my mates cdj 2000's. Is there another option?? DJ interface 4 for instance.... I cant find one!!!
Hi Alex, thanks for the helpful video. I cant get recordbox to pickup any DVS signal currently - I have 2 digital stanton turntables, will they still need the signal grid cables? Thanks
If the turntables don't have signal ground, then no you won't need them. You will need to find out if the output from the turntables is in analogue or digital. Play around with switch on the back of the Pioneer DJ Interface and see if that helps...
Always better to use the power supply though as sometime, the power saving mode on Window will shut off USB power, leaving the controller without any power...You can obviously change this setting in WIndows, which I have done, but not something that everyone will do.
Hi mate, excellent vid although you only need to connect the interface2 via usb to get DVS tone, the phonis from the turntables can still just go into the mixer. Choose interface2 as audio output in RB
Then you're not djing using the turntables, if the signal from the turntables isn't getting to the computer via the interface...the tone is being played from the vinyl, not from rekordbox, so if the turntables are plugged into the mixer, the only audio you'd hear would be the signal tone from the vinyl. The turntables have to be plugged into the interface 2,to enable djing via the vinyl with rekordbox.
One of the most thorough Interface 2/Rekordbox installations out there. Great job!
Glad it was helpful!

I've got a stream deck setup now to change from Timecode to Audio, so that works for me, just the click of a button.

@@alexeneas Nice one mate! Turnt out it was because my laptop was too old, worked soon as I plugged my mrs one in with the latest rekordbox.
Would you be doing a tutorial on ripping vinyl to MP3 with the interface at some point?
@@DanielMorgans1 If you're in the UK and need a very good laptop/desktop PC, at very reasonable prices, check out PC Specialist 😁
@@DanielMorgans1 Yes I can do a video on this, although technically you don't use the interface to do this. I'll explain in the video.
Can you still mix traditional vinyl without the laptop plugged in? With the interface wired up!
Yes you can. It's an amazing bit of kit
Don't need the power supply, it'll work with usb power as well
Always better to use the power supply though as sometime, the power saving mode on Window will shut off USB power, leaving the controller without any power...You can obviously change this setting in WIndows, which I have done, but not something that everyone will do.
Can you Rec set in the same software of rekordbox in the labyop
No, you need to use another program to record your set. I will be making another video soon, showing how I record my sets using this hardware.
@@alexeneas can you show me pls
@@alexeneas i can't rec for the same hardware of rekordbox interface 2 i have it too
@@alexeneas do you have instagram account
@@radishworldj I've recorded a video showing how to record. I'll be uploading soon.
Hi ! Can i use the djm 750 (year 2013) please ? Thanks
Hi, Yes, you can use the DJM 750. The mixer doesn't matter for using this.
can you do this for the old 1000mk3/mk3 type
Yes
Yes, you can download a timecode .wav file from the pioneer website and burn to a CD and use on any CDJ
Really smart and reasonable. Is possible to save more than $1000 dollars and get done the same job.
Not quite sure where you've got the price of $1000 from?
