- The Bible tells us that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). When we look at the first line and title of this hymn: "Jesus, What a Friend for Sinners" and read it in the context of the verse above, we can deduce that Jesus is a friend to every human who has ever lived. We are sinners; He is the friend of sinners. How wonderful for each one of us!
We've all been in times where friends have failed us and it feels like all around, foes are assailing us. We've been tempted and tried. We've failed. Our heart has felt like it is breaking and we have needed forgiveness, strength and comfort. This hymn covers all our needs and experiences. "Saving, helping, keeping, loving, He is with me to the end." May we find strength and comfort from knowing that our Saviour is our Friend in these times of difficulty. May you feel His presence today.

He was treated as we deserve that we might be treated as he deserves. He was condemned for our sins in which he had no share that we might be justified by His righteousness in which we had no share. He took the death which was ours, that may live the life that is His. "By His stripes we are healed. What a friend of sinners and publicans! 🙏 Be blessed for such beautiful singing.
It was so unjust! He did not deserve to suffer for us. But He wanted to die for us because He loves us! What a wonderful Saviour! God bless you!
