Hey Marty awesome video!! I was wondering if you could make a guitar lesson for the song fast hand by Cody jinks just the electric guitar riffs tho. I can’t find any video lessons or tabs on the song and I’m having trouble trying to learn it by ear.
As a intermediate player, this helped ALOT, thanks for guiding me through this whole guitar journey 🙏
Honestly here with u for that he’s done a lot for me too
Soloing is one of the funnest things you can easily do with guitar, so many ways and things to incorporate, the possibilities are truly endless.
Dude I swear you’re in every guitar videos comments lmao
@ARCania is this serious?
Came for the soloing tips, stayed for the...
...Butterscotch Tele!
True TOAN ok?
Blonde not butterscotch
vintage blonde
Dom Goddard
Blonde Teles just a Butterscotch without a tan
You know you stayed for the jacket!
In all honesty, without all the videos on your channels over the years I dont know if I would have stuck with guitar. When you're starting out it is super daunting but your lessons have taken me from knowing 3 chords to learning some more intermediate concepts including theory. Cant say how much I appreciate all the hard work you do for these videos
How bout we just stop a minute to appreciate that opening jam... !!!
Nice job, dude! Now I can finally sound like Hendrix!...
In my dreams.
On the bright side, you play better than Jimi, Alvin, Van Halen, Petty, Jerry, and many others...
Because they're dead.
this is an absolute game changer- its not just the spot its the rhythm - its begging for it ! thankyou sir
Again, such a great tip! Get good at a few notes of a improvising, then expand from that, adding one more note. Love it! Start small, leave space....on your way to building something great!
Luv, luv, luv that funky rhythm stuff at 3:20
Who would dislike this. It’s a awesome dude taking his time to make free guitar lessons for us. Instead of disliking just move on
easy for YOU to say
My style.. technique.. and knowledge of the fretboard.. has been improving so dramatically every week just from playing along to your videos it's like unreal... I was stuck at a learning plateau litterly for years until stumbling onto your channel when I decided to buy a guitar when this covid mess started (I had sold all my guitars almost a decade ago because I was so frustrated).. now I have the confidence and skill set to basically attack any song, solos and everything.. I no longer have to hide behind the excuse that I'm only a bar and cowboy chord rhythm player.. thank you so much and keep up the good work :)
Scales are not only for fish. Thanks Marty, you have helped me come along way on guitar.
If You Have To Ask - RHCP - John Frusciante vibe👌🏻😎. Great lesson Marty
It's my aeroplane 😭
We love you Marty!
That solo at the beginning👌👌👌🤟
As always Marty an excellent lesson that provides real tools for guitarists at all level. You and the other great guitarists online giving your secrets away have really helped with coping with the isolation brought on by Covid. Thanks for being such a great musical ambassador.
love the tele!!
Me buying a looper a few years back has greatly improved my playing. I wish I had this back in the 90s 🤘🏻
Woooow thanks sooo much !!! As an intermediate player it’s often to find the right notes. Often u end up being frustrated because what you play just doesn’t sound like a real solo... but this simple lesson helped soooo much. How cool can a guitar sound with just three notes. THANK YOU MARTY !!!
You always blow my mind. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, Marty, for this video I've been in a band for a while now, and I needed to nail my solo's for each song so thank you
O man soooooooo cool i must be learning great new things here 1st i picked up the rhythm in literally a sec.. got to leading on it right away THANK U Marty ur a great teacher even added a few 9th chords to it
That's a cracking lesson Dude....Thank you...
Wow! This gives me a new perspective on how much you can do with only 3 notes! It's all in the rhythm and feeling of the vibe :) Thanks a lot Marty!
Marty,
Thanks for being the teacher I can't have during Covid-19!
thank you for teaching me so many songs and keep doing what your doing your great!!
Now THAT was a tasty intro solo!
Love your lessons! I think I’ve learned more from you than anywhere else because you make your tutorials so easy to relate to and your playing inspires me!!! Keep up the amazing work! 🤟
I like to hammer rapidly on the whole d chord . It just happened after playing it like a million times.
Thanks as always Marty, this was exactly what I was looking for as my solos were sounding 'too scaley' as you said so this REALLY helped!
Nice riffing....love your examples!! Mahalo!
Today I was just practicing to improve my soloing and Here you are with a video exact to my needs. How is this happening?
I think that's the sign of a great teacher, one who knows what his students want to learn!
You know, out of all the guitars you demo songs and solos with on your channel, you...and that Tele, are brilliant. Great lesson dude. Cheers mate.
Thank you so much man. Really helpful lesson
The BB King safe notes... it’s all in the bends and expression. Right on Marty, great stuff as usual.
You know Marty, ii seen this video promo when you posted it. But there was no time for dilly or dally - so today ii catch back up and decided OK OK give it a go. Kicking myself today as ii have been searching for that funky rhythm many years. Yes even back then... Agh!
You are the best man!!! I will bow if I will ever see you 🙇♂️
Thank you Marty for some great soloing ideas
I've been watching and growing with you as a guitarist since I found you way back in 2013. ❤️ the content 4 life brother
That tip is so helpful and the jam session was so great!!
Hey Marty! Your channel here has reintroduced guitar back into my life! Thank you! Can you release this jam track separately?
Exactly what I’ve been looking for
Hey Marty thanks for the lesson I had a fun time always appreciate how much you make available to anyone
A great exercise for me, since I tend to overplay my part and run around the fretboard like a headless chicken. A little self restraint is nice now and then.
my jaw dropped at the opening solo
This is a great lesson. I'll be heading out to the barn when I get home..
good playin with ya
Hey man I just wanted to send you a comment saying how much you have helped me in the past 2 months I have learned so much from you and I hope to learn more
Marty ur a godsend thank you for being my lockdown guitar teacher
Hey Marty, Thank you for the How to Nail Your Guitar Solos. Appreciated!!
The power of the Schwartz🤘🏻
I found the best way to improve is to limit yourself to the first two strings and improvise up and down the minor pentatonic scale patterns in any given key. Really helps tie the scale patterns together in your head, and nail the root notes to finish a phrase on.
🙏thank u.
Thanks so much Marty! Really helpful exercise
I love your videos so much you inspired me to open or create a UA-cam channel thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍
Could you please do a tomorrow by silverchair lesson, keep up the good work!
Holy smokes when I started soloing by myself I found out I was able to sound cool with this technique thank you Marty Music!
GOAT
Yes man yes
Very helpful tips! I'll definitely keep these in mind for the future.
Marty you Read my mind again. Any way where’s that sweet child o’mine solo like the 3rd one c’mon bring it back
It's not up to me
@@MartyMusic alright Marty I understand I will stop pestering you about it. Your still a awesome teacher. Also can you throw in some more music theory I’m having a little trouble with that. Since other people make it overwhelming
@@MartyMusic also love your meme vids there very good and funny
How about lesson on raking into a note and making it consistent?
MARTY! The best part WAS when you gone away! Well done! Thank you for this lesson!
Could you do a lesson on comfortable by John Mayer?
I suck at guitar tabs and solos, but when it comes to chords n shit, I’m a god
Nice jam bro
Friend you are the best thank you very much for your dedication and work
Limiting to 3 notes made me more creative, as in how to play the note
Not always thinking what note to play.
Great lesson. 👌
Also please do a vidoe on what chords to play for the background looper.
All I can say is that intro was tasty
Absolutely brilliant idea bro. Thanks. I have been working on a riff and can't find it yet.
This helped so much 🎸!! I need The Led Zeppelin song dazed and confused to be taught that would be so cool😎
Thank you for making this video Marty! Really helpful ❤️👍
Thanks for that Marty! Funky guitar tune if I might say so
Awesome!
Anyone else read this as “Neil young solo like a pro”😂
Nice man, another tips for soloing...thnx man! I just remembered Hendrix.. can I ask you something, who's really your idol? Long live !

That's cool! I don't mind sounding scaley. Better than noodley.
You should do a tutorial of how to play couple skate by ollie byrd
excellent stuff👍 im always trying to move around the fretboard too much i forget to use small segments
Very well done, this one was fun. Do you think you could come up with a I don't know four step lesson plan for a beginner/intermediate and maybe spell that out for something to follow? Thank you Marty have a good day
That body is slammin!, all the way to the headstock, It looks heavy?
Awesome and easy to follow lesson. Thanks Marty! Can someone tell me what the name of those two chords are playing in the backing track?
Thanks a lot!
Can u do some lessons on some of the old black keys stuff like off the thickfreakness album or rubber factory
Wow. Thank you so much. I can solo a lot better now. Also I figured out that if I use the pentatonics but missed outa few notes it sounds really good like when you think you know what note someone will play next and they suprise you with a different one.
Hey Marty, please can you do a lesson for Photograph by Def Leppard. Keep rocking dude 🤘🏼
Unreal my man!! You make me want to play so much!! Can anyone help me woth that opening G chord? Id love to (try) lay down thst backing track. So funky!!
From Lil Wayne to Jimmy Page in 5 minutes. Wonder if it'll work the same if I lock myself into 3 notes of Dorian, that should take me to Gilmour status already!
