    During these quarantine times, you should look back at this puzzle and completely solve it. Many comments already pointing it out but there was more to this puzzle that you didn't actually get to. That's why there was another keyhole near the rod underneath the first keyhole.

    As far as using “the shape of the lock to solve”...I think it is meaning to spin the lock between your hands (like a caveman trying to start a fire with a stick) this action would cause both of those pins to push out, allowing you to put the key in. Just something I thought during the video...keep up the good work man. Peace.

    You haven't been lucky. I solved this puzzle exactly the same way.
    The pins in the lock are kind of confusing. I also rolled it to get the key in. However it's not working very precise and 100% repetable, at least not for me. But who cares, the look and feel compensate that. 😜

    I'm at 6:55 and I would look at the key more. Also my family trade is locksmithing. And I would focus less on the lock as a whole and look more like the cylinder as that is the focus of traditional locksmithing. That may not work in the end but I'm just going off of my experience and what at this point in the video I'd try. I'm excited to see how this thing works.

    It's a bicycle lock. You simply pass the shackle through the end links of a hardened steel chain and use it to chain up your bicycle. I believe Bosnianbill and lockpickinglawyer both did reviews of the unmodified version of this lock. It's extremely robust in every way except for the fact that it's somewhat lacking in pick resistance.
    The shackle slot in the center is designed to retain the chain link when it's in the unlocked position but the chain can be removed and replaced by inserting a piece of wire into that little hole underneath the rubber ring to fully retract the shackle.

    It is a chain lock. One end of the chain goes in each side.

    • @aserta
      @aserta 5 років тому

      They modded it a bit, if it's not entirely custom seeing as the lever doesn't go all the way out without clearing the two holes (the brass pin + the pin under the shield).

    • @Riyame
      @Riyame 5 років тому +2

      @@aserta That is the design. When new you open it and pull out the shackle then use the tool (the pin) to push in the brass bit and pull it out all the way. Then you insert a chain link into that slot and push the lock cylinder back in. This keeps the chain and lock together and you only lock/unlock the spot for a single chain link.
      The pin that prevents key entry and needs to be rotated around is the modified part.

    Typically those types of locks are used to secure the two ends of a chain around a bicycle. Beautiful puzzle, and great solve!

    Just by the name of this puzzlePiece, I can say that you’ve failed on the actual achievement of completing this puzzle... 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I might be wrong ..

    Sorry Chris, but the focus on this vid is terrible. Got a headache watching it.

    Try putting a small glass window into the keyhole, Chris.
    If you're supposed to use the Shape of the Lock to solve (as you mentioned perhaps once in the video), then maybe there's a sill in dere. (Cyl-in-der).

    Can you give us a tour of your puzzle room? I hope you have nice shelf space for all those cool pieces. It would be neat to see them all side by side
