The game performance is actually not good by default because they seem to be using lumen which bogs down the fps when you see little to no difference when you manually turn it off via engine.ini command lines.
I went from 30 fps due to horribly lighting and effect being heavy handed, to 144 fps while it looked the same.

I'm not sure I understand the objective of this game. Seems to me like they're just wandering around crafting and shooting aliens.

I think since this research facility is out in the middle of nowhere you're left to survive with the other employees (other players with different occupations) and having to venture out to stop enemies from other dimensions coming to our world with portals.
The game has only been out for like a week so it's still a little confusing for me as well but maybe they'll add more lore later on lol

there's a story where you have to escape the facility and it takes you to all the different parts of the facility, getting new materials to unlock new areas to look for a viable exit.
NL's POV just doesn't show much of that

I assume they are trying to escape and need to unlock doors and stuff and find keys and things. I was sitting here watching the last one like “hmm this 30 minute video with cuts starts and ends with NL in the same gear at the same spot”

It’s actually crazy how many people will complain about a certain way someone plays a video game when they have full autonomy to *not* watch the video… if you ge through the first 10/15mins and go ‘Oh, this isn’t quite for me’ then why watch the rest of it grumpy or even interact with it complaining? Parasocial fanbase - he’s not your older brother he’s just a guy 😭😂
