Living vicariously through you. When my kids are grown and off, I think I want to start traveling as a travel nurse (8-13 week assignments) to see more of the country. This makes me really, really want to do that.
Hi Katie. I’m an RN and wanted to let you know that you can eat the meat sandwich later or even much later than 2-3 hours. Now, because you have GI issues, you do you. As for the queso in a jar, you can save for next day or so. That has preservatives in it. 😊

please let me know how it goes. i am 60 F and am semi disabled but may be losing my home soon so looking at alternatives..Honestly living in a car/van has never been a goal but living on disability I cant afford rent. My house is paid for but property taxes I havent been able to keep up with them and they plan on auctioning my house and all they ask is a bid for the back tax, I get nothing...not sure where to start or what to do...if you have tips please share..sorry this is so long, I hope you live your best life.

I loved this video - mainly because me and my husband also travel and your tips have helped me so much. We camp off the grid (I am from South Africa) whilst we travel the rest of Africa. Your “wet wipes” tips have come in SO handy. Here we get Pampers Sensitive Baby Wipes - and I feel those works the best for me. Also, our heat in summer is insane. For the heat, I use cornstarch babypowder. It takes the sweaty feeling away, but at the same time smells nice. I love these types of videos that you put out. Great job!

Hi Katie! Couple of tips- an insulated, giant big gulp type cup makes an excellent mini cooler for your leftovers or to have lunch meat for a couple of days or just have some ice around. The tiny bit of ice it takes makes it super simple and easy to dispose of and clean. Also, packing cubes might help with your clothes organization. I know it doesn't sound like they would be anything special, but I decided to try them and have converted a couple of disbelievers. I don't know what it is about them but somehow, rolling your clothes (reduces wrinkles x 1000 too!) and putting like items or whole outfits or however you need to organize, they are amazing! Thanks for sharing- I love your channel

Interesting to watch you live on the road & follow a WOE. I eat Keto so without cooking & meal prep I would be living on pork rinds, meat sticks & cheese. I use baby wipes for makeup removal & while traveling recently discovered Witch-hazel wipes. Perfect for refreshing those areas on non shower days.
I find this channel very relaxing. Idk why. Maybe because I would absolutely love to do what you do but I am a horrible driver lol you are a inspiration to me!

I am learning so much about how to do things when not at home. We recently purchased a camper, and when we travel in it through places that are snowy, using those shower wipes will be a real upgrade for us from taking along tons of bottled water. Tiny little pickles are called "cornichons" and they're very fancy! Katie .... do you ever do your own "protein packs?" I know you can buy those little ones already packed up, like the P3 ones ... but I like to get some ham/turkey & cut up into little squares, get some cheese & cut that up into little squares and get some almonds or other nuts ... that makes a very easy, satisfying little meal/snack. I know you don't like to do a cooler, but it might open up your options a little if you got one of those little 12v coolers ... they don't cost a lot, and when you're on the road you won't have to stop (especially if you haven't eaten much & it's late) to get food.

Have you ever thought about modifying your car into a little van? Perhaps removing the back seat (I know you sleep back there), adding some type of platform; sleep on top, storage on bottom. I'm curious!
I know in my hatchback (a VW Golf) the back seat folds down completely flat. It was awesome for moving. With proper cushioning, it would make such a spacious 1 person bed!

I’m so surprised the gear shift doesn’t bother you when sleeping in the front of your Yaris. Do you have a manual or automatic? I have a Yaris sedan manual and I don’t think I could ever sleep in the front like you!
Maybe a dumb question, but what do you do with your car when you go out drinking? Or is there a limit to how much you can drink before you can't drive? I'm from Scotland where there's zero tolerance, so you can't drive at all if you've drank anything. Sorry for my ignorance, just curious!🙃
There’s zero tolerance here in the US too, they have an ad that says “buzzed driving is drunk driving”. Sometimes I’ve had to hang out in my car for a while to sober up completely before driving home. The trick that I learned from a friend (who learned this lesson the hard way) is leaving the keys out of the ignition. For extra safe measure, I also sit in my passenger seat. My friend in college actually got a DUI ticket because she turned the car on while parked to turn on all the interior lights while she was looking for her dropped phone. Cops can be sneaky like that, so I’d want to show them that I have absolutely no intention of driving anywhere. Stay safe :)
@@jessicah3450 Wrong. For persons over 21 there is no zero tolerance in the US. The legal BAC is .08 in all states. Some states do have zero tolerance for those under 21, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, etc..

Katie .... do you ever do your own "protein packs?" I know you can buy those little ones already packed up, like the P3 ones ... but I like to get some ham/turkey & cut up into little squares, get some cheese & cut that up into little squares and get some almonds or other nuts ... that makes a very easy, satisfying little meal/snack. I know you don't like to do a cooler, but it might open up your options a little if you got one of those little 12v coolers ... they don't cost a lot, and when you're on the road you won't have to stop (especially if you haven't eaten much & it's late) to get food.

Have you ever thought about modifying your car into a little van? Perhaps removing the back seat (I know you sleep back there), adding some type of platform; sleep on top, storage on bottom. I'm curious!
I know in my hatchback (a VW Golf) the back seat folds down completely flat. It was awesome for moving. With proper cushioning, it would make such a spacious 1 person bed!

I’m so surprised the gear shift doesn’t bother you when sleeping in the front of your Yaris. Do you have a manual or automatic? I have a Yaris sedan manual and I don’t think I could ever sleep in the front like you!

Maybe a dumb question, but what do you do with your car when you go out drinking? Or is there a limit to how much you can drink before you can't drive? I'm from Scotland where there's zero tolerance, so you can't drive at all if you've drank anything. Sorry for my ignorance, just curious!🙃
There’s zero tolerance here in the US too, they have an ad that says “buzzed driving is drunk driving”. Sometimes I’ve had to hang out in my car for a while to sober up completely before driving home. The trick that I learned from a friend (who learned this lesson the hard way) is leaving the keys out of the ignition. For extra safe measure, I also sit in my passenger seat.
My friend in college actually got a DUI ticket because she turned the car on while parked to turn on all the interior lights while she was looking for her dropped phone. Cops can be sneaky like that, so I’d want to show them that I have absolutely no intention of driving anywhere. Stay safe :)

Wrong. For persons over 21 there is no zero tolerance in the US. The legal BAC is .08 in all states. Some states do have zero tolerance for those under 21, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, etc..
Hi Katie watching your video and was thinking that it's more expensive to live on the road, when i first saw your UA-cam videos i was excited about doing that but after watching alot of van lifers and RVs living living in a one bed room with rinning water and a toilet I'm good, be safe andGod bless.
