Jokes on them, Pocketpair is owned by one of Japan's richest men, one with more wealth than Nintendo makes in a year. And Pocketpair made it absolutely clear that they are going to fight. What is going to end up happening is that either Nintendo backs the fuck down, or they are going to lose a lot of money. Either way, their overly broad patents will end up getting nullified. Just like Apple's did when they tried to sue Android into oblivion.

Paradox: intricate sounding organic fleet creation. Gigastructure mod: B. I. G. VAT BREEDING SPAM. You get a stellarite devourer and you get dimensional horror and you get an ether drake.
Side tangent: I wonder if they will bring disease... The original Stellaris precursors seem to warn about the different things a player can encounter that ends their game. The Federation collapsed via too many competitor ethics and a collapse as the food supply was cut off. Cybrex warn that AI rebellion is a possibility. The yhut warn about how quickly the technology of another civilization can outpace another. The vultaan warn of late game lag. And then there are the issarians... They just kinda died from space plague.

I guess I just feel like disease should have been a mechanic. First thought on reading the diary was, Genetic Ascension. That path should be able to breed them faster and cheaper, and stronger units. With herds dedicated to feeding bioreactors.
Hint of actual Bioships coming makes me happy, it’s been a long time coming… so maybe a biological/genetic DLC for next major one. I do like what I’m seeing here, only complaint I have is I wish some of the ship modules looked a little more… meat… like the thrusters.
I HOPE they go the way of the machine age route, where there’s two types of ships for the bioships, like ones an actual LIVING creature, and another is just a regular or random ship set COVERED in biological flesh or matter

I doubt I'll continue to cover Dev Diaries and news outside of upcoming DLC, and GA is quite lore focused. Besides, normally Montu and Aspec have it well covered, but we shall see.
i wonder if this will effect the "Cordyceptic Drones" civic (or other necromantic civics/ascension perk) and let you customize the reanimated space fauna and leviathans.. also, im curious if we could use our own space fauna for the seed spreading of fruitful partnership

This is everything I've ever wanted. Well I do want proper bio ships. But I've always loved the space fauna. Cordyceptic Drone hive mind is one of my fav empires cause I could pretend to try playing space fauna only. Now I actually can just do that fully. I would love to know if this new civic could be used with cordyceptic. Or how this will play with the genetic ascension. But seeing the options to mutate and customize the clones space fauna genuinely has me more excited then any DLC they've released in the past few years.

I wonder how powerful the dragon origin will be with hivemind cordyceptic. People usually kill the dragon once they have a star fortress for easy resurrection for the dragon but I think it is way more better for the dragon to live because if it lives and you finished your ascension tree you will be able to breed smaller dragons now people who thinks that it has limitations well there is a way to bypass that but you have to discover it by yourself man cant wait for this dlc.

I normally dont play hive mind empires(usually gestalt consciousness) but a hive mind with bioships and these organic naval assets would be fun as hell to play
I really like what I hear from the new DLC. However, since I don't play that many games (I haven't managed to play a single game of Stellaris this year...) I am afraid with all the additions the other DLCs gave as well, that I won't utilize all the possibilities I get. But well, I guess I'll just be happy building a huge menagierie and collect every single species I can find :) So I'll get my worth out of this DLC without diving too deep into all the possibilities. After all, there is a reason I don't play on the highest difficulty^^

Have they finally gotten around to late game lag? That's what interests me! Why should I build if the game mechanics make it impossible to enjoy advanced gameplay?
Relative to your computer and settings really isnt it... I tend to play small/medium star maps with 2300 or earlier end game. Lag isn't a problem for me
@@TheRedKing I have a different definition. If I'm building a space empire, I want a big map with a lot of planets. A three-year-old computer crashes in late game! The population counting system, the possible combinations of races, all of this is poorly thought out from the ground, because it multiplies worse than a 25x crisis. So I assume the problem still exists.
FINALLY, we can have bubbles ranch, one for each planet. Can we install civic type of module though? Wouldn't it be fun to have amoeba have holographic image like hololive?

They seem a little underpowered to be useful in fleets. Unless the weapons have been buffed they probably rank lower than a mid-game Destroyer so I can see this being about as popular as the Space Storms (which is sitting at around 70% negative on Steam). Stop Fing about Paradox and give us proper biological ships.
