I do remote PI planning due to the global nature of my team. Never thought about socialising but you could set up multiple calls in zoom or teams say called green room red room etc and leave it open for people to join any for the first 30 min
Hi Rob, I really like this idea of yours. If you do execute on this idea, can you share an update - would be very interested to hear how it went. Of course if I trial it - i'll give an update on a future video - thanks for your comments.
Socializing in one big call with 80 people wouldn't be a good idea. Rather would do what Rob mentioned below: smaller 'virtual coffee' type of rooms, for maybe 5 to 10 ppl each.
Thanks for your advice. Yes, agreed especially if you want to encourage individual connection. The use case where you may want to have a single big call is where you may have some 'entertainment' prepared for the group - I've seen that down quite well as well - but stay a bit sharp on the time - 30 mins with 80 people is 40 hours :)
For sure, point taken. The Management Review between 1700-1800 is just for a small subset of the entire audience (usually a hand ful of management), and day 2 can frequently be shorter if in person (post Covid). For Remote especially if you use a 3 day format you should be able to drop this down to a more manageable 6 hours or so.

Thanks. It would be great if you could do a session on System Team in SAFe espeically testing integration team. Thanks.
Great suggestion! Thanks Rohit.
10 hrs per day?? People would be checked out by 4:00 pm … need to focus and streamline … eliminate needless discussions, reduce to 6-8 hrs per day
