Well done, well said - to put Mother’s Day in perspective.?Indeed, if women were able to take more of a roll in the politics of the world, hopefully we could live in peace. Thanks for sharing…❤

That is an INTERESTING history! The Mother's Day Proclamation of 1870 was profoundly moving! Loved "...whether our baptisms were of water or of tears..."! Great speech, too! Thank you, Marianne! I hope we can get you to rise to higher places!

Thank you so much for this history lesson. It is so beautiful. War and oppression devastates life. The other issue with war and oppression is that it also devastates thoughts. When evil thoughts consume good thoughts, that creates more destruction, which is the opposite of life. Maybe that is why evil is live spelled backwards. Let us advocate for peace, for the protection of individual agency, for all individuals around the world. I hope you had a great Mother's Day. My son and I have watched your recent poscasts and are happy that you are running for President and that you continue to talk about important national issues. Take care.

Men play the hammer game , playing those with the biggest hammer wins.
Women would hammer out justice. Justice is an action not a reaction.
God bless you Marianne a true elder for humanity.

Thank you for this. Was getting mired in family dramas and losing track of what is really important. Maybe Mother’s Day was a lousy day, but for those of us lucky to be living, at least we have a chance every day to make things better.

Thank you deeply for that sharing. Peace will be mankind's finest achievement. Prem Rawat- Ambassador of Peace
I deeply feel that the campus demonstrations over Palestine and the war was/is this generation's statement of Peace, cry for Peace, affirmation of Peace, such as millions did during Vietnam. My exposure to the media about the demonstrations with limited but I felt it like an inner wave and let President Biden no of my feelings.
Enough of the politics and The Business of War. Dalai Lama stated that war is outdated let this be the century of dialogue. Peace is the way to Peace. We must teach peace, awaken it in many and it will flourish.

No idea, if Marianne reads this, but I want to say. Great recording, great message, actually essential to the "People".
As a man who somehow had his feminine aspects awakened also, Marrianne's message reverberates with mine. I, as a father who loves my children, only want them to be wonderful, abundant and in a peaceful relationship with the societies that they live in.
The so called maternal aspect is not actually less or more than the paternal, both have been very confused. I am admitting that for centuries the masculine nature has ran into an insanity for which the feminine aspects are needed to rise and correct that. Men are capable of becoming gentle too. I have been surprised by the so called "skin heads" in Germany who have been very gentle with me as a long haired hippy type.
My long hair assists my insistence that life amongst the People is not determined by protocols.

I just adore Marianne. She continually digs in to find the historical facts and presents in a way that captures the current dynamics to help us see through all the BS. TY marianne as always.

Powerful message! Admittedly, I had always regarded doing the typical flowers, phonecall and/or brunch with Mom as sufficient for celebrating Mothers' Day-but I had no idea about the much deeper, meaningful, (and important!) intent behind the Mothers' Day Proclamation. After hearing you read it, and then looking it up to read myself - there truly is a powerful revolutionary idea Julia Ward Howe is conveying here. If the mothers from all the nations of the world were to come together to establish a great global Congress of Mothers - thay could seriously effect world-wide shifts away from our current war-machine global paradigm into a peace-bulding global paradigm for the betterment of all! Let's make that vision a really! Let us be the change we want to see!

Oh Marianne thank you so much . This is the first I’m hearing about this the original meaning . My heart and soul does go out to all those Mothers grieving . I can’t conceive of the pain I have two sons. I will spread the video . I’m a Godmother to two males. I feel minimized by them . I reach out it’s pitiful to me that such nothingness such meaningless to what I feel in that role . On a very real level it devastates me because they just don’t want to see really really see the depth of suffering on this earth . Maybe they will never be capable of it. Yet, I am Godmother. I could never leave them . I whisper sometimes I shout I get mad I say I am special in your life .
