On our third stop we planned to visit Deception Island.
Due to the strong winds we only set foot on the island at the end of the day.
It's a volcanic island; with a thin fresh layer of snow and the dusk setting in this place had an eerie atmosphere.
The video has a lot of (motorized) sailing, impressions from the now derelict whaling station and more Gentoo Penguins and Skuas.

Some places in whalers bay the water is warm where steam is still venting near the shore , a unique place

I really don't know anymore, everyone brought his own gear. A lot of Northface, Mammut and Helly Hansen gear and some from sailing brands (like waterproof gloves)

We were very careful though
Research station destroyed by the active volcano in 1967-69.
Iron and wood is going to be raclaimed by the nature anyway.

Honestly would have greatly preferred the sounds of the sea, the landscape, and any relevant creatures. The soundtrack seemed very inappropriate for the video, which was quite beautiful.

That place is a nightmare. I am certain I would rather be dead, than live there. No way. 7:17 sums it up.

@@masheduniverse OMG. How scary! I would go there for the fear factor. Also, to see some penguins, but wow, that place is desolate and creepy. I just imagine the alcoholism of the people that lived there.

Most of the original sound was completely unusable is one of the reasons
@@masheduniverse I have no problem with the music. I just get annoyed with people who complain about music (or other sounds they don't like) instead of just turning down the volume or muting it. Thanks for the interesting video.
