This was very tame. Most EAS channels blow things like this to : OH MY GOD THE TRAIN WAS CARRYING THE ENTIRE WORLD LOAD OF NUCLEAR BOMBS THE ENTIRE EARTH WILL BLOW OUT OF ORBIT
There was an EAS where a group of students took an entire high school graduation hostage, which was sort of believable. Then, they had a nuke, which just ruined everything.
I saw one where there was one wendigo and it kept killing people, soon, more people were turning into wendigos, and then by the end, everyone in the world was turned into wendigos in a day, and when they died off, it took millions of years for the new humans to take over
@@babyfroppy6198 Hillariously, that's not even how it works. It's just taking one guy who's starving and another human being and waiting for the starving guy to eat the other one, and boom, wendigo.
This actually reminds me of the runaway at St Paul Minnesota in 1996. It actually is a true story. Richard Vitek was critically injured and waited three hours to be rescued. Spent between a week to almost a month in the hospital.
This one reminds me a lot of the CSX crazy 8. It was a runaway train and the movie unstoppable was inspired off of it. Its a great Wikipedia read or watch!
@@thatsimulatorguy They have emergency brake application if they overspeed. It is impossible for a freight train to hit 90 unless it’s brakes somehow failed.
Huh, that was surprisingly tame. Most EAS scenarios blow things way out of proportion. I appreciate the dedication to realism.
*SCP-TRANSPORTATION WHOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION*
Dedication to realism? It stated the train went 79 and 84 MPH, but freight trains in the US are limited to 75 MPH. That’s not realism
@@midwestsirens it's a runaway. The 1989(I think) Cajon pass runaway achieved a speed of well over 70 mph.
Most EAS scenarios would be like "THIS IS A GLOBAL EMERGENCY, 1 MILLION PEOPLE HAVE DIED DUE TO THESE TRAINS."

I love how its for once a realistic EAS scenario and how this is ACTUALLY dangerous, for a whole town atleast
It’s not realistic, freight trains in the US are limited to 75 MPH but this says it went 79 84 and 90 MPH which is impossible.
@@midwestsirens it is more realistic than other EAS scenarios, my point still stands =)
@@justsomerandombirdwithinte5896 I guess, but still they should’ve made it all realistic.
@@midwestsirens You cant expect somone to make it 100% realistic
I think I remember a movie about this, but instead of cars, petrol It carried radiation

If those people didn't evacuate the train yard, it would be a Final Destination movie scene
That looks likes a silver streak train crash in yard
@Vincent Vihaan yeah we definetly dont give a sh*t
@Vincent Vihaan also why the F*ck would you ever do that to a friend?
It’s a shame this video doesn’t have more views, this was pleasantly unique
I see the Union Railroad are about as competent as ever.

This felt surprisingly average in a good way, i like these type of EAS scenarios
FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE OTHER THAN ME GOT THE IDEA OF AN EAS SCENARIO BASED AROUND A TRAIN!!
I love EAS, this one was really tame. I won't bash others, as they are just as interesting as this, but this one is more realistic.
This is just the plot of "Unstoppable" isnt it?
There needs to be more scenarios like this
Agreed
This is like the crazy 8’s accident
yep, that was a f u n t i m e

Because it is the CSX 8888 accident
Thats what it is
Yo charles did u miss henry stickmin
Hi I am a worker of UP Railroad all engines are repared at a UP shop near.
This if kind of scary because my town has rail roads everywhere.
Based on the movie "Unstoppable".
I like how the scenario is based in Texas because of the city names
My question is. Is this even possible? the derailer is designed to stop train's doing that type of stuff
It can happn like in the movie "Unstoppable" its way too much train going way too fast and im speakinf of thousands of tons going to 90mph
Actually freight trains in the US are limited to 75 MPH, there’s no way it could have gone “79”, “84” or “90” MPH.
hills
@@noobiii huh?
@@midwestsirens I think he ment the train could have picked up speed going down hill
If there is no no engineer aboard to regulate throttle, it could go yo to at least 80 mph on a downhill.

I must remake this in trainz
