The debut colourway, in a super clean "Pure Platinum" makeup, was a must cop for "Air aficionados" everywhere. Check out my latest review and the on-feet look of these futuristic runners by Nike!

I think these may grow on people. At first I didn't like them but after ordering a pair just to test out they look pretty futuristic and cool. Air max is v popular in Europe rn as well, so it might transfer over here. People forget that boost was considered ugly and cheap until it became hyped and acceptable to wear as a casual shoe.

Everybody saying the shoes are ugly gotta take their boost tinted glasses off. Don't be a slave to a brand and appreciate all brands and what they bring. In my opinion I think there is way more tech in this shoe than what you get in a standard ultra boost. Great vid as always Sean! 👍🏼

people don't even say that it's ugly because they love boost / adidas, it's the general shape of it. i mean just look at it, yes it has got flyknit and comfortable cushioning it's a great sneaker. but that kind of midsole just doesn't look right. maybe we'll get used to it sometimes in the future or nike will fix the way it looks
I own more nikes than I do adidas but the sole of this shoe, no matter how much tech there is in it, is not very aesthetically pleasing to me. It ain't even about brands. Adidas makes ugly shoes too, The sole of the shoe ruins the shoe for me. It looks like a cleat.... Those basketball shoes they put out every year for their athletes are probably loaded with more tech but an ugly shoe is an ugly shoe. Whether it's adidas or nike or asics or saucony.
I don't own any boost shoes, but the vapormax midsole looks really bad

I was hesitant to get a pair but recently visited the Nike store in Chicago and couldn't resist. I'm so glad I got them now. Super different than my Ultraboost but I love them . Separate but equal.
The all white, triple black, o.g. color way are all you need....cant go wrong with those 3

Like you said that the mid foot area is really narrow, my thought was to go +0.5 like I did on Flyknit Racer due to narrow toe box, however, I went with true to size as well. After wearing for running a couple times, it fits perfectly with unique feeling of the shoes covering your feet. Great review, Thanks and love your channel both on youtube and instagram.
I got the same pair even though I really wanted the OGs. I've been wearing these everyday since their Sunday AirMax day release. They are stupid comfortable and I get what people are saying how they propel you. You are right, you don't sink in like UltraBoost, you are springy on a stiffer platform. Some people are going to think they aren't comfortable and will just have to try them on. I have some new NMD R2s arriving in the mail tomorrow and I bet I'll still be wearing these(which is what I have on feet right now).

Great review. Still think they look like Dance sneakers. Didnt like the knit style..bit worried it might damage fast. But have to say it looks great
other people really like the soft plush boost but i feel really unstable when wearing boost shoes. like im going to fall side way because it's so plush everytime i step. interested to see how this nike feels

I'm going to be honest and say that this shoe looks like as if the sole got run through by a hot iron and it grew blisters. But your photos always makes the shoes look awesome. lol

Great review! I got these in my true size, but experienced some heal slippage, but lengthwise they're perfect, so it's not the size. Did you feel the same thing @ all?
Really? Not at all, the ankle was quite snug and it held my foot in quite well actually.
Sean Go thanks for the quick response. That is really weird. I've been watching reviews to see if anyone else has experienced it, but haven't heard anything to support it. It almost feels like the flyknit around the ankle collar is too loose. Maybe Finishline sent me a defective pair.

How do these compare to the flyknit racers? Are these more comfortable?
They feel different. The cushioning seems stiffer on the VM and higher off the ground.

5'10" with no Vapor Max. 6'7" with VMs on lol. Not that they're made to sit in a box, but ... if someone decided to purchase to collect, these shoes will probably look terrible down the road IMO. Between the yellowing and fogged up air units, you're probably better off to wearing them.
awesome video once again. those shots are amazing. the shoe itself in my opinion is very ugly, primarily the outsole air bubbles. however, this was a great review. keep it up!

I love the concept of Air Max with the bubbles, but I'm reluctant to buy it because one sharp object and it's $190 down the drain.
I think it would take some serious effort for the bubble to be punctured lol
But doesn't Nike replace a punctured/damaged bubble at no cost? Or am I tripping?
m o n o n o k e nah 7 years of testing trust Nikes not gonna pin the future on something they know is gonna easily be punctured or damaged. That would destroy Nike and the Max line. Trust I have a pair ain't nothin puncturing these unless you are really trying to. And even then it still ain't easy.
Go check out Whats Inside's video on these, he takes a knife straight to one of the bubbles and it takes a lot of force to get it to puncture. That amount of force with that sharp of an object would severely damage any sneaker.

People said the same thing when Adidas first introduced boost sole 2 - 3 years ago. But when people experience the boost, it changed the game forever. The moment I tried on the Vapormax, it was like the first time I tried on the Ultra Boost. It's insanely comfortable in a different way and feeling.

Great Review! I was hesitant purchasing them online without trying them on first. Tried them on in store and loved the fresh radical look and feel of the next air max evolution. These are head turners for sure and will spark lots on conversations prob more so than boosts. I've been a Nike fan for forever and I've been riding the game changing boost train as of late. You're spot on with the comfort comparison. I love sneakers and these are dope IMO. Rock what ya like. Keep up the good work man!
