  • The Cause was loose or corroded connection on pole or wire coming from pole to house. Both 1st and 2 nd floor connections changed. Rain, Damp Weather . High Wind . All could affect connection. System here is 200 amp -100 Per floor with all separate line for Ac units, Microwave, Blow Dryers.

Glad you got it taken care of. In Kentucky, you can legally wire your own house without a license. I wired mine, 2 200 Amp panels, and almost a mile of wire after it was all said and done. It passed on the first inspection.

“I could do all of this electric’ I could put all this in.” Gotta love home owner specials. Thinking you can do everything then when it inevitably fails and an electrician comes and finds it’s all done wrong.

I have the same issue but at the time it was just my lights above the mirror when something kicks on like the a/c but the breaker to that is inside the meter pole and makes them get bright then dim and have like a slight wavy flicker and does the same thing when the chest freezer kicks on on the line it’s plugged into but now when the electric dryer was on the whole house started to do it witch is new and started doing this past weekend and when I went to the panel the main 100amp breaker was very warm to the touch it never got like that b4 idk if that’s I sign of it getting old and needs to be replaced or there corrosion some where

Breakers are cheep and easy to replace could be outside corroded connections like mine was .Lots of my lines ac,micro, wave, dryer, fridge are separate lines sometimes lots of plugs all On one line so when another thing clicks one then it dims or flickers

I am still on Duplex Fuse Boxes from the 50's in a 1903 House , a few nights a Week I can not use the Coffee Maker , Window AC Unit or Microwave , then it clears up I can use them for awhile and then No Coffee Hot Food or Air-conditioning , The AC Unit has been filling the wall with Water and Mold for 3 Years , Sometimes the AC Unit will run but when the compressor kicks on all the Lights go Dim ... Real Dim . I am Crying . :(
