Oh korean mattresses are sometimes hard because of their history of sleeping closer to the floor.
Younger generation koreans might change that since some of them prefer softer bedding.
Just some random history lesson💀💀

Was it expensive? How much was the key deposit vs rent?

I think it depends a lot on the area and your requirements but expect to have 5-10 mil ready for deposit and up to 700k for rent. The more you pay in deposit the lower your rent will be. :)

I will also come to Korea soon and look for a place in a similar area! Did it take you the full 2 weeks to find that place? and did you need your ARC to sign the contract? :)

You don't need an ARC for the contract! It took 2 weeks including the time to get the contract done and money transfers etc. I would recommend having more time to look at apartments if you really want to find a good space that's not too expensive though
