Great video GK! If it were me, I'd add a temperature controlled switch for added protection. I like having the extra fuses. I have the factory fuses but also I have a fuse at the battery for my M1200. I think the reason most people want a Messenger is to use it for SSB so it's good you kept the bias. That was the reason I got mine.

Regarding health stuff, one word of advice is to start walking. Start with x amount of steps per day with a goal of eventually 10,000 steps. Start with less of course. The Heart app in iPhone is great for this. Invest in an Apple Watch is a good idea too. It has an EGK feature and also keeps a history of heart rate, etc.
nice rebuild. that relay would have melted . not to much more you could do in a small box. with bigger cabinet and out put transformers that box would easy do 1.2KW . not going to happen in that box . I got the 1X4 all MRF 455 and wont put bigger pills in it. even though the PC board is 2X8 . the out put trimmer went bad and traces broke on boards. runs quite warm all ready. power wire up grade got it running cooler for same watts out. that input transformer should have bias on it. my 1X8 does. has them inductors that look like a resistor. that bigger fan a must on that bias box . 73's
If you use led acid car batteries indoors , stop. NO NO newspaper slap on the nose NO! 💣💣💣💣💣 I have witnessed them exploding and catching fire . It's not worth it. Good job on the messenger!
Agreed agreed I shouldn't mentioned...I'm so use to being outdoors I haven't had a indoor station in 10 years lol I forget about that you are completly right. NEVER use Lead Acid INDOORS!!!
