I think there’ll be another dedede possession here. I can’t really imagine a gang of animals using magic though, so maybe they made him feral with their magical rabies or something. The feral mr. frosty and gigant edge also kind of suggest this.
Lmao that intro was priceless. But I must say, I really hope our lore doesn’t come from pausing the game. More show, less tell, and any telling (and showing) should be said in the gameplay rather than outside of it.
right now my gut is leaning towards this turning out to all tie into a mysterious Dedede backstory. what if this was his home world, he was formerly its hero and leader of the beast pack, and somehow he left and "Forgot" this land so they fell into chaos. I mean if it does tie into any existing Kirby thing he fits the bill the most, there hasn't been signs of anything magical, temporal, ancient, high technological, or multidimensional in theme, it's all just "animals" so far, and Dedede is a penguin.
Doesn’t make much sense why he’d want Kirby dead. Yeah he has a rivalry with him, but he’d probably want to tell the pack to spare Kirby above all else. Additionally. Wouldn’t Dedede just tell the Waddle Dee’s to come and join him rather than forcefully imprisoning them?
I sure hope you are right about the story being deeper, Kirby lore is hype and I'm worried this potential reset will wipe away continuity or other aspects of the lore that are cool or interesting.
This game takes place in another dimension, in an abandoned, modern day city. Considering all of Magolor and Hyness’s talk about the Ancients, this world was no doubt, made by them. And even if it wasn’t, it’s still going to be dark, because again, this is an abandon city
something i haven't seen being pointed out: the scene where elfilin is 'drowning', you can see what looks like a hand shoving elfilin into the water. the hand is even made out of the same watery material. perhaps it's some kind of blob monster that's dragging elfilin into its own body? i believe at one point in the game elfilin will get captured this way and we have to go on a journey to rescue him, leading us to the scene where we discover the fake elfilin in the cage
"Wants to hug Garurufi" I think that wish will be granted via plushes. I'm imagining plushes of them, kirby's upgraded abilities (ranger and drill included) maybe one, two or more of the beast pack bosses (mini bosses as well maybe) specific waddle dees and of course, Elfilin himself. Makes sense since we got most of the star allies characters as plushes like Rick, Kine and Coo, Gooey, Marx, Magolor, Daroach, Taranza and Susie. We might even get a tropic woods one since I saw a Wispy woods plush once. But, who knows?
The beast pack's birds might have a bigger story. Maybe there's a real antag other than the master lion. I'm in love with fake final bosses in games, so maybe a giant crow emperor would kill the master lion off after you defeat the lion. He would say he caused Kirby to go to the forgotten land, and the riftstorms will soon spread across the world, causing worlds to vanish like ash. He creates a riftstorm across the arena as he explains he destroyed the island in the first place and helped the beast pack find waddle dees and elfilin. When the lion was dying it was his chance to kill him for good and betray the pack.
This well be my first Kirby games so I hope the lore is still dark as the other games. If the final boss isn’t some Eldridge monster I’ll be deeply disappointed
Harrey the haltworker:i really hope that each waddle dee you rescue has a name and a little description of what they like to do (i.e work on race cars, collects spoons, etc), i say that because the great lord Haltmann decided to revisit the Madagascar 2 game and found out about the unique quotes that float above each monkey on the gallery, and he use that for developing the personalities of 99 Haltworkes myself included. My personality is that of a jazz singer🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷
Guess what, I believe you played the demo like all of us, right. If so, then you might know a few things about the capsules you collect. The Garurufi is actually called Awoofy thanks to it's figure, sounds more wolf like but I guess Foxes are close to wolves in a way. There are also three company sign figures. Holine, Alivel and Lightron, noticed how each first letter of every company spells Hal? That's a nice touch from the creators. I'm also seeing alot of Kirby 64 references, making the Elfilin is evil theory more debunked for real. For example, Dedede in this world (can't be the original if he looks more Club Penguin like) takes on the appearance of his 64 model, one of the needle upgrades is the needle×needle combo ability formed into a katamari, light bulb mouth could be a reference to spark×bomb, (I think) volcano and dragon fire are references to fire×rock and fire×fire. And also here's a coincidence theory I made. You know *Balan wonderworld* right? Besides the mistaken for bad reputation ( I don't want you or anyone else saying negative things about the game, ISTG), some fans of the game (despite the problems) like me have speculated that Kirby and the forgotten land is Nintendo's version of BWW. To support this, the demo has a similar idea to the demo of chapter 1, two stages and the boss (plus the present codes being the console exclusive demo costumes), some of the upgraded copy abilities take on the appearance of a miniboss (eg. Gigant sword and Frosty ice) sort of like a costume in BWW. (no need to mention gameplay pls) And that's all! Anyway, the game's in three days and I'm holding in my hype so I can go wild as the foes in this game!

3:47 Shiya Kumakaki stated in 2020 that the next mainline Kirby game is gonna be the pinnacle of the franchise.

That would also give the beast pack a motiv to capture the waddle dees, since it would seem like Dedede abandoned them for the dees.

@@Murr248 but was Only One game
The best part about a Kirby game is the possibilities of what horrors will occur at the end of the game.
4:14 problaby yes, the Beast Pack is problaby controling King De De De to do something agaist his will.

I don’t think hal would reset anything after so much is established because they clearly put a lot of thought into all of the lore stuff

After the absolutely MASSIVE lore dump that star allies I hope we get a cool down from lore but still have some and not being a soft reboot

I may be wrong, but I think this may be the first time they actually mentioned the story in the trailer
Anyone think galactic/morpho knight are going to show up?
I'm sure that it's not King Dedede, but an evil relative or alternate self of him.
