Ryan was one of those people that come along probably once in a hundred years. Wales is so often divided by rivalries - north/south, Cardiff/everywhere else, Welsh speaking / English speaking, but we all loved Ryan. Absolute raw talent, unique charisma, and mesmerising. Yes the Welsh are a nation of great singers and Ryan Davies you were right up there with the very best. It has always been an honour and privilege listening to him. What a loss to our Country.
No-one has ever been able to replace Ryan and no-one ever will. He was simply the most talented all-round entertainer Wales has ever seen. When he died the Western Mail simply headlined that Ryan had died. That said it all. We all knew him by his first name. He had a beautiful voice, a comic talent and played the piano and harp. I was lucky enough to see him in Panto in Swansea year on year and he just put everything into every performance he ever gave, wherever and whenever. Thank you for posting this. Ryan A Ronnie RIP
I came onto YT looking for Ryan & Ronnie sketches. I loved them as a young kid, even though I lived in England and spoke no Welsh (our TV received Cymru). Clearly there was a lot more to them (and certainly Ryan) than the clowning I remember. This is stunning.
Don't know if you're still around but just say, same here, as far as watching in England as a kid and despite not knowing a word of welsh, thought they were hilarious.

I can remember watching them too and some of their shows were broadcast in English.
