- On the recent defection of 21 NPF MLAs to NDPP, Rising People’s Party President Joel Naga expressed no surprise rather called the move of TR Zeliang & company an act of political survival. In an exclusive interview with NLTV he further said that the exodus has set a bad example by behaving unscrupulously and acting like power mongers. On being asked about the NDPP spokesperson Merentoshi Jamir’s statement that the merger will strengthen the party and work for solution towards naga political issue, Joel Naga alleged that its about political survival

What this Mr.Joel is saying are very TRUE but I'm afraid that his party will hardly get not more than 1-2 seats in 2023 election. On the other hand, Nagaland government is playing with Naga solution....

Yes, apart from exposing the corruption committed by the Government, which is nothing new, past history has shown us that Nagas are very casual when it comes to this issue, cases involving hundreds of crores are forgotten the next day. Many has already forgotten the recent exposure of fuel adulteration.
What 'out of the box' solutions is the RPP planning? I have not seen them stir up public's imagination. I have not witness any mass public movement on the streets.
Would love to be optimistic, but, taking into consideration, the history of Nagaland elections, RPP really needs a more effective practical method, if they are serious about making an impact.
The amount of tears that falls from some of the students who are eagerly waiting for the scholarship to utilize for their educational purposes etc... also the public waiting for their salary to utilize in a medical purposes etc... I assured that those heavy amount of tears will fall upon to those culprits who have selfishly share & saved for their upcoming election.May our Lord bless you in such a way that even the 5th generation receive the blessings for the intentional good work you people did it for the students & public. Lastly when you start receiving the blessings do share it equally as you do know with those defection bitches. 🙏
RPP may do well in urban areas, thou winning even 1 seat is very doubtful, in my opinion. Sad reality, but, the tradition of winning elections with money power, will continue,and very doubtful if our generation will ever witness a clean election during our lifetime. RPP needs to have a solid plan, if they are to fight against money power.

One question still remains unanswered. Apart from bitching about the current corrupt government, what is the plan or what is the vision of RPP? RPP should come out with the vision it has for the people of Nagaland. Addressing the loopholes of the present government is no more a new thing to the public. RPP should come out with strong resolutions and promises for the people of Nagaland. Win or lose, the people will decide it's fate but as passionate politicians or party, RPP should table its promises clearly to the people, the areas for development, the issues to be tackled, and it's stand in the long run as a regional party.
