That 's some of the worst fusing i've seen in a while, there no way all those are going up...
Its a great learning experience as long as everybody is okay snd nobody gets hurt. Also why you need to follow all safety precautions
Milk crates? Really with crummy consumer shells. Hopefully they are far away from the audience.
I saw a lot of pro 1.3 and 1.4 shells being used in backyards all over town here where I live so they are getting them without a license somewhere.
Dude, after listening to w/ ear buds you can appreciate the caliber of the 1.4pro that was demo'd. WOW Non ATF users should be jumping for joy now 😊
Dense pack mortars? Which insane AHJ lets you get away with that? Let me know and I'll make sure he's fired.
Little Eric is angry again.
@@tigermoko76 that's a different Eric
I think on the low break shells they might have pulled the shells up to much in the tube to zip tie them I have noticed some shells fuse has been short on the shells
I knew he was too close… and then the very first shell malfunctioned. I guess he relearned caution. Lol
Cracking sucks.why is 1.4 got so much of it
Probably cause it's easy to produce, just like green and red stars are so common.
I know right!. Give me some purple and orange!
Dave these long video are rare.Thank you for sharing, been a big fan since 2011..
Its not Rocket Science you can train a Monkey to set it off...
You could train a monkey to build them too, but to come up with something new, that takes effort.
you know what? excalibur shells are nice and all, but honestly… i miss when consumer spherical shells were more common and had a beautiful symmetrical break in the sky - almost resembling a pro 2”, maybe even a 3” shell.
Have you looked into adding the crackle cube system to your certification? It's a growing community that allows scripting with 4 cue mods
Teach them what milk crates ?? Plus 57k subscribers??
Right
I know there are a few of you out there that perseverate on these milk racks in my videos and occasionally in my classes . What is happening is the advanced fireworks enthusiast fireworks enthusiast is advancing faster than the market is presenting affordable options for them to use. Thus they are creating their own improvised options from what is affordable and available to them. Let the free market or even you created an affordable option for them to chose from.
@@displayfireworks1you actually believe what you just said are you serious? No matter how I respond we already know what you do you **block and delete** comments you don't like Dave. You're getting roasted on Facebook for this comment as it's a fabricated pile of drivel. How do you dare say things such as this to new people I don't understand.???
@@FOURSTAR50 You sound like a clown another Pyro police who thinks he knows everything there is to know about fireworks and safety, just love to hear themselves and show their arrogance. He probably shoots for Grucci smh
@@FOURSTAR50Try putting some periods and commas in your post, so it makes sense.
Hey Dave question…I took the pgi class for my shooters license here in Ohio and was told that Ohio doesn’t allow you to fire the 2 required shells unless you’re already a certified shooter. Seems silly to me and a definite catch 22…but how do I go about finishing that requirement? On my certificate it says I’ve completed step 1 of the pgi display operator certification process.
I am no longer a PGI member. I am not sure what Step 2 currently is on the PGI course. Years back it was you had to actually work as an assistant for X number of display and also work as X number of displays as the Lead Shooter before they would issue a certificate to you. I teach via internet and DVD courses that allow you to purchase 1.4 Pro products and or obtain an ATF license that allows you to purchase and transport 1.3 fireworks. The PGI course does not permit purchasing 1.3 fireworks. For that you need an ATF license only.
i bought 50 feet of the white quick fuse when i was making mortars, that stuff burns so quick i had to light the entire 50 feet to see how fast it burned then i had to buy another
Rarely any good this footage has more examples of what not to do then to do
I've been following your channel for over a decade - thanks for all your content over the years!
Did that person in the wheelchair take the class? I'm in a wheelchair and I LLLooooovvvveee fireworks Dave your such an inspiration to me when it comes to fireworks
That is awesome to hear! Do you light fireworks today? Dave was talking about firing systems and there are a ton of options out on the market that would allow you to set items up and be able to watch them from a distance.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnicst the same time if this is for education why are we seeing milk crates they are validating this.??
That man in the wheelchair ( I met him and know his name) attended my class and was actually the only person in the class that owns and uses a fireworks firing system.
He told me he watched my videos for years. I purposely included him in this video in hopes of inspiring others like yourself. Thank you for your comment.
@@JoelRobinsonPyrotechnics yes on the 4th of July of course
@@johnnyrocket7922 I am happy to hear that my friend
were they using 2 inch display mortars instead of DR11?
This is why new advanced users of fireworks need to match up the proper racks to the type of shells being used. There is not a universal size of re-loadable shells and or artillery.canister shells.
@@displayfireworks1 first of all Dave their canisters that are being discussed here geometric shapes are important. What do you mean a 1.75 canister is a 1.75 canister for good reason it's by design. Now if you want to talk to mini shells or DR-9 then yes there is different sizes. Why is there constant misinformation from you?
Does anyone know what camera Dave uses? the breaks sound amazing.
I will tell you. I have always used Panasonic camera's over the years because I always thought they picked up great sound of fireworks. Over the last years it has been a Panasonic HC-X920. However you then need to render and edit the videos using software. I used different versions of Roxio over the years. Rendering to AVCHD 1920X1080P 60P. then upload onto UA-cam or etc. I have not checked but I am sure there has to be some used Panasonic HC-X920 used for sale out there.
@displayfireworks1 thank you Dave. I will have a look into one. I shoot professional shows, and I would like to capture my shows, especially finales, with great sound. I typically use my phone but the sound just isn't right. Thank you again!
Thanks Dave
👍
Lot of people hating on milk crates in the comments. Its not the rack, its the shell, if one blows up it doesn't really matter the rack type its throwing plastic parts regardless. I can see spacing between tubes is a concern, is this due to a chain reaction? I just don't get why every is so anti milk crate… i think id rather have bits of milk crate fly at me than 2x4 in a accident. And you supposed to stand back either way so i really don't think its that insane or more dangerous, it’s not like the milk create weakened the tube suddenly.
Loved It but couldn’t tell if it was old video or new due to the🎥 always love them tho !
I love listening to the self righteous pyros posting on this video.."Oh I would never, and you shouldnt fuse like that and milk crates...blah blah blah blah.....Sounds like a bunch on whiney women...Get over it.
Do you know what you sound like probably should have read your comment if this was my channel for my group you'd be out on your head in 3 seconds flat
Great video Dave!
Milk racks.....
Great video dave, the longer videos are always fun to watch
