I can't stop smiling watching you two cruising on one engine past unfamiliar landmarks as you prepare to go under your first bridge in a longtime, chatting excitedly while knocking on wood every few minutes in the hopes it protects you against unknown surprises of the inconvenient or costly kind and, undaunted, steering on course to this newest adventure with a beautiful but slightly wobbly wheel. You look so at home and happy on the water again!. Congrats, keep it up and best of luck with this exciting project! You will do it! Cheers!
That's awesome. Uneventful inaugural run. Tied up safe. Perfect. Some of those uppity marinas are just bloody ridiculous. I trucked a load of dock boxes to one here in B.C. once. I couldn't show up before 8am. When I started to unstrap my load they bitched because my belt winches were to noisy. I couldn't turn the corner to get to where they wanted them because I might scuff the parking lot. It took us 5 hours to unload what should have taken an hour and then they wouldn't sign for the extra time. So when I left I wound the engine up as much as I could and use the Jake brake for every gear. And because I was empty my trailer brakes unfortunately locked at the end of the driveway, but only for about 10 feet. I know, I know very unprofessional. What can I say. Lol.
What a team the two of you make! Such positive energetic people. You got this ❤️❤️❤️🤭🤭 My heart is bursting with pride! I know your families are proud too! Billy’s got the mechanics. Sierra got the cosmetic work! What a team 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know you’re going through a wonderfully crappy time lol but I am so glad you’re back on the water in a trawler! I had to sell mine and now I am back living on land and all I want to be back on the water.
At 13:00, Mare Island was in WW 2 a huge Naval Shipyard and Submarine Base. Also a Large Brig ! You passed three 'Dry Docks' coming through the Straits which are now used for salvage operations. Great video !!
I love the new boat. Will be the most epic moment to see it emerge from under the coat of dirt. This will transform it completely. And great to see you back on the water.

As soon as you get the boat running, go to the Delta. There are numerous marinas that will allow you to live aboard and do your own work. Pacific Boat Services in Stockton is one option.

Just carry more Fuel filters. I put a double fuel filter system on mine. I don't have a fuel polishing system. Ya know I think that the marina is missing an opportunity. They could sell tickets so folks could come watch you two work on your boat, heck they could even sell hot dogs and popcorn. Some folks just have no imagination. Good luck on the rehab work guys, I have faith. Keep the good stuff coming.
So nice to see you in CA. We fish out there on good weather days
Jetty seems to be happy to be back on the water too, and enjoying riding on the bow again. 😄❤️🐕🛥
Sierra is just so upbeat!
I don't have any water experience other than our small lakes but I do have experience with carpentry, mechanics, and just plain hard work. I must say that if that has really good bones what a fun project. So jealous. Those are fantastic boats from what I've read... Happy motoring!
I'm excited for you guys. I hope the project continued to go as smoothly.
I am so happy you both are into a project boat again. We all learn as you are challenged by bigger repairs that return in enhancing your boat reliability and value.
Can I suggest north to Alaska!!!
Glad to see you 3 back on the water.
When you meet difficult folks just be polite and move on, it’s way less trouble and it really pisses off cranky people when you don’t join them in their misery. You’ll probably meet happier folks at the next stop. This boat looks like an interesting adventure.
WHAT MATTERS is
how YOU TREAT YOURSELF
and
HOW YOU TREAT OTHERS,
how THEY TREAT YOU (or how they treat ANY ONE ELSE includes themselves sigh) MATTERS NOT!!!
THAT IS THEIR ISSUES!!! NOT YOURS
don't let it become your issue! :)
if they ask you for help, tell them how YOU DID IT not how THEY SHOULD DO IT ( free will free choice ) they still need to chooooze ;)
!!!!! BE BLESSED BLESSED BE !!!!!
free will & free choice
((you can choooze to let it (or ANY THING) become (shudder wrong choice) your issue!
.......OR NOT!!!! I CHOOZE TO ALLOW IT TO STAY THEIR ISSUE (not mine) AND IT WILL *NOT* JAK MY ..... .....HAPPY/JOY/COMPASSION!!! good luck!))

In are Marine I have found with mine there a lot of Monday morning quarter CAPTAINS. Everyone always has some advise on how you should do your work. I had one want-a-bee CAPTAIN (Not)
Point out scratches on my clear plastic as I was cleaning it. I just smiled at him. But inside I was saying "what a tool". There is a group of old guys that like to sit in chairs on are dock. They all drink BEER. And talk all this BS. One-up-man ship to each other. It funny to listen to after they start drinking a case of beer. The story's start sounding like they sailed the 7 seas.
I,d love to get the contact details of that marina .... just to say "Hi" You two are so inspirational. Stay Safe & Fair Winds !!
Yes! I have no patience with people like that. Made me mad to hear they treated them that way.
HECK YA!!! That’s awesome glad all went well on the first drive !!! You guys are awesome!!!
Good windsurfing up in the Delta!
Sherman island

What a great idea . You 2 are going to have a blast doing this.
So glad to see you both in a trawler hull again!
Glad to know you guys made it safely to the marina. Can’t wait to see the boat after the first good wash. 👍👍
glad you made it to the dock without problems, cant wait to see how the project progresses
So happy to see you guys back in the water. I think you found a good boat with lots of work to be done. But a good boat. Safe travels!
I helped a friend outfit his def.46..we changed the oil coolers for the engine and trans. It is real important to do those.. they put saltwater in if they fail
