Instead he goes through a whole monologue explaining to them how he will test who's who. If he was the Thing in that moment, he wouldn't waste his time doing all that. He would just use the upper hand in that moment and kill them all. But since he didn't we know he's human.

The tone, the characters, the themes, the story, the monster, the cultural relevance and commentary, the acting, special effects, paranoia. I could go on and on. This movie is the MAGNUM FUCKING OPUS of the horror genre and NOTHING will surpass it.

This is my ultimate fav line from any movie i have ever watched in over 40 years i say this line at least once a day 7 days a week etc etc. What a movie still ranks is one of my personal fav top five motion pictures off all time and the movie score well what is there to say.

Id love some of the synth stuff not to have the bloody wind howling all the time :) There are like 20 hours worth of The Thing ambience videos on youtube, and they all have wind... This one is the best though... not too much wind and has the dark synthy bits by Carpeneter and Howarth.
