      No, actually it was GA 125 voice record. It was said, due to miscommunication between ATC and the pilot, and also foggy day, the ATC mistakenly gave the wrong direction to the pilot, and pilot unfamiliarity to the area as well as navigation system also contributed to the cause of accident.
      As the pilot realized it was directed toward the mountainous area of Sibolangit, they just realized it was too late, and just doing takbeer. Nothing else they could do.

    Garuda Indonesia is still very popular with the Indonesian diaspora. The Netherlands is a large sales market for Garuda Indonesia, there are approximately two million people in the Netherlands with an Indonesian background and in addition, approximately 200,000 Dutch tourists travel to Indonesia annually, especially Bali.
    > GA is more highly regarded than KLM, it has better food on board, better seats and friendly service. However, the last decentia GA is very unreliable when it comes to punctuality and flight times. Something that is considered very important in the Netherlands. Consider that many travelers from the Netherlands to Indonesia have planned a very tight travel schedule more than half a year or more in advance.
    > GA has the advantage that it flies directly from AMS to Jakarta. KLM has a stopover in KL. Especially the older Indonesian diaspora originally comes from Jakarta and the area around Bandung. But then GA suddenly changed the route to with a stopover in Medan? Many older travelers complained about this, also because the change was communicated a month before departure. The Dutch tourists also suffered from this. Some liked to travel to Bali via Medan. In this way the Dutch tourists also wanted to explore the area around Medan. But that did not happen, they just flew to Jakarta.
    >There is also a large Moluccan community in the Netherlands. They travel to Jakarta, spend the night in a hotel and fly to the Moluccas the next morning. GA had a solution for this! For example, GA advertised that GA offered a smooth transfer of a few hours to the Moluccas. The Moluccan diaspora did not have to stay in a hotel and could fly on with a quick transfer. Many Moluccans booked a flight ticket with GA. But in the end, this service to and from the Moluccas was only maintained for a few months. Many Moluccans who had already bought a ticket were disappointed.
    > Amsterdam is a profitable route for GA, but GA still decided to fly to London with AMS as a stopover. In 2016 they flew to London Gatwick, later this route was stopped. GA tried again in 2018 with London Heathrow, this was also not a success. In 2024 GA will try again.
    > KLM tickets are expensive, but GA tickets are even more expensive. Many Dutch tourists fly with Middle Eastern airliners from AMS to Indonesia. A missed opportunity that GA prices itself out of the market.
    > Most flights from AMS to Indonesia depart in the evening. GA responded to this and offered its flights at the end of the afternoon, something that is very much appreciated here. But a few months later GA changed this back to an evening flight, so that passengers also arrive in the evening.
    There is a lot of potential for GA to become an excellent airline. It's just that GA is not run by the right people.

      I think many people wouldn't mind paying more for a great inflight experience. Just that Garuda Indonesia don't offer that anymore from their IFE to their inflight dining despite their "5-star Airline" marketing. Even their inflight service is not that great anymore. They have so much potential but things do not seem right for them at the moment.

      Garuda vliegt maar 2x per week tussen Jakarta en Amsterdam en niet eens tussen Bali en Amsterdam. Golf carriers zijn in het gat gesprongen wat Garuda heeft achtergelaten.

    Indonesia is really good at upholding traditions. The only problem for us, is that we're too good at upholding traditions. So good, that we even upheld traditions that has already went too far. We can't filter quite well for which one to retain and which one needs to be fixed or even removed from our society. Our major concerns regarding traditions are being close-minded, overproudism, corruption, collusion, nepotism, instantism (they said that things, especially technological advancements and related things must be instant (precursor of import mentality that we suffered (inability to make local products and technologies dominate Indonesia)), crab mentality, and above all, the father of all bad traditions in Indonesia, toxic seniority.

    Garuda is up to standards now. But the competition with airlines from the Middle East is difficult. Garuda Indonesia's European and US network is too small or non-existent. Strange that after all these years there is still no Indonesian leasing aircraft company.

    The cause of the GA 152 accident was mainly caused by Airtraffic controllers mistake, there was another flight 152 from Merpati and he used the Merpati callsign for the Garuda 152, the Garuda crew did not follow up of course thinking it wasn't for them

      More like communication breakdown over confused callsigns and therefore directional control is lost; also slow radar means ATC doesn't know whats going on for 12 SECONDS😢😢😢😢
