- The most painful realisation: the person you put your trust, your faith, your very life into was never even a person at all.
They function like creature from a horror movie, a cloud of nanobots that can show up as whatever they need to be to elicit the response from you that they need.
They function like a reaction- seeking artificial intelligence, that feeds from the control it has from the emotions and actions it has power over in others.
This entity does not care about you, no matter how well it simulates empathy. It cares about one thing only : power and adulation.
Its objective is to force you obey and worship its magnificence.
Unmasked and defrocked we see it’s just a wretched Golum full of hate, envy and base desires.

You're not wrong. In ye olden days, evil was recognised as possession by demons. Getting "blessed" to ward them off was helpful because a) your experience was validated and b) you were expected to remove yourself from their orbit, following the blessing. Today, so many of these truly evil types have infiltrated religious and political office we can no longer trust that those who should watch out for evil are not themselves evil. Instead of "blessings" watch every Richard Grannon video from 2016 to this day. That's all the blessing you need. But I do take your point. 🙏

The horror of meeting these people is endless. No qualms, no boundaries, no respect, no limit, and they will do anything if they can get away with it... And they seek positions of power that will let them do that.

I agree the narcissist is like a machine or computer program or robot. Once you know you can watch them try to get a bead on your attitude, age, mannerisms, psychology in an effort to start mirroring. You can watch them struggle with it a bit and then they start mirroring. They truly are less human. Once I did see the trapped human show up for a split second and he was devastated and dismayed, but then the thing took over immediately. Truly lost souls.
Yes and they don't believe in God because their God is a demon or group of demons emitting the same false oersona over the little child in a 2 inch box trapped inside their body.

I had the same experience. It was mind blowing, terrifying and very sad experience.
You are so spot on. At one point I hit a real bottom, I was a complete mess. I was referred to a counselor by someone I knew. He was AMAZING, I just didn't know at the time how much so. My ex didn't know I had been seeing a counselor. The counselor set up a scenario and coached me on what to do and say. His instructions were to tell my ex I had been seeing a counselor and to pay particular attention to his everything in reaction and get back to him. Omg!! I did and it literally blew my mind!! 🤯 He had been sitting at kitchen table, leaned over with both elbows on table, when I told him, his head popped up looking straight ahead as he sat up and fell back against his chair sinking down a bit and was GONE. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen! My counselor told me what I witnessed was like a computer shutting down and completely rebooting itself. He said imagine a football field, he has known all the players (or thought he did) he knew all the plays, what has happened, how it's going, NOW he finds out there was a player on the field he knew nothing about and he has to literally add that information into what he had, recalculate and now figuring out what info he needs that is missing. Like when this person entered the picture, what if anything were signs he missed that he should have seen, etc… I'll never forget it!

Yes it is very confusing for their victim like I was, you literally start to go mad being with them and what made it worse his parents were narcs and my family were narcs. The marriage ended and four years ago I went no contact for life. Now I feel born again.

Honestly if you just see the person as they are it will help you. They have a very low level conscience, they're like a child that never developped emotionally. If you see the person as a damaged child you'll feel it gets easier. Now, just resist the urge to be compassionate because it won't change. Personality is determined since childhood no point trying. They want you to feel sorry for them just to keep the cycle going.
When I hear this.. Then I know that this person is dealing with a narc. There are so many that think they are dealing with a narc. If they can't say soemthing simular to what this person posted.. Then you probably have dealt with a run of the mill narcissist. They are the normal range of annoying selfish bratty humans. A true narc... Will be evil.
Go to where you are valued, celebrated, and loved. Your natural joy and optimism will return almost immediately and you will just rebuild whatever was so stupidly destroyed, and you will enjoy doing it.

You are a strong person. I also survived a 20+ year living with a psychotic narcistic heroin addict and stayed sane. The only thing he wanted was to get me crazy. After his dead I was happy for the experience because it brought me to live my divine self.

We are so naive, at 72 I’m still trying to figure out who is real, being friendly to others in a go about your day, I’ve never met anyone that is not friendly. Close neighbours I’ve found to be annoyed by me and have not had a pleasant interaction with them. Maybe it’s my energy not being compatible to there’s. ❤

I have a daughter like this, her sisters are narcs but she is a psychopath. They were taught no respect, lie, manipulate, bear false witness by their grandmother and dad.
I was married to one. Almost completely destroyed me. Took me 7 years to heal enough to live but I’m forever changed
I was with one for 8½ years and we have children together. Im on coming up to 3 years single and still scared to even go near another man at the minute. The worst thing is that we were friends before we got together and got on so well 😔

I want to add that after 3 years of being away from him and getting the divorce finalized, I do finally feel like I'm coming out of the "fog" he had me in. I wasn't even aware of it for the most part, but he suffocated almost every organic thing from me. But I'm becoming me again, rediscovering talents and skills I had, the passion I used to have for life in general. I'm healthier and definitely feel more driven & focused and you can too. The healing journey started for me when I started studying narcissist, everything clicked and I could understand & recognize what I was dealing with. Once I accepted and could admit I had been traumatized for years by someone I loved and trusted, the betrayals were so much easier to recover from.
You have described a person I barely escaped from. He told me exactly what I wanted to hear. I thought how wonderful this person wants to know so much about me. My family situation. My friendships. He just needed to know who was there to stop him. It was all just one huge manipulation in the end. And he absolutely did not care about how devastating he was to my life. He used and abused me in every way possible. I got out alive, just, though the mending has been a long road.

They are chameleons, I am married to a covert narcissist, something I just learned, I had no idea this existed. I always noticed how he shifted even if the type of language he used with different people. If he was talking to someone refined or upper class, he would try to elevate his communication and demeanor to that level. He would also do the opposite if he was talking to a person of a humble origin, he could use bad words, something he doesn't typically do, to fit in with that person and almost convince him he also came from the ghetto. He would say he liked a singer that fit the taste of the other person when I knew he did not care about that artist. Total MIRRORING, I have accepted that's what he did to me all my life.

I told the narcissist in my life that the devil is in her I called him out but I'm still stuck caretaking she refuses to go to an assisted living I'm drinking an energy drinks to deal with the day because I got 4 hours of sleep and I was home yesterday and she stressed me out with phone calls and arguing with me to get what she wants and what she wants isn't good for her health she does everything the opposite of what would be healthy which is another reason I think the devil is in her so I couldn't get anything done because of the arguing and knowing that if it wasn't a family member I would be walking away because I know better I swear the devil is in this person blocking my blessings and I'm sorry but all the prayers in the world doesn't stop these people I don't understand and where is my protection from Jesus
Absolutely correct, mine took the form of a demon a number of times when the mask fell.
I had this experience, and how it came to me was like this. I was struggling to understand why I still loved this person, even though he had hurt and betrayed me for years. I made a list of all the things I loved about him. When I read the list, it hit me that those were all my good qualities and as I thought about it deeply, I realised he was mirroring me, and really didn't possess those qualities, only giving them lip service to get what he needed from the relationship. This was before I ever knew about narcissism. Be careful, people. ❤

I wanted to add something else here that might be helpful for those in this now. The list of things were not only falsely mirrored back to me, but they were stolen from me in a way. He became the person who was a 'great parent', critical of me until I felt he was a better parent. He became the authority on so many things, even though he knew nothing about them. He had to win. I just let it slide because I knew who I was. But after a while that happens in almost every aspect of life, and one day you wake up and have no idea who you are, beyond his opinions of you, and some days you no longer care.
Make that list if you aren't sure, because it is like a trail of breadcrumbs in the moonlight that could lead you back to your true self. Gather your best qualities back for yourself and the spell will be broken.

I used to work as a dishwasher and one day I found a couple of my co workers off hearing that the manager got the wrong chemicals for the dish machine. Apparently it was an “accident” but I think he did it on purpose cause they were starting to speak up and wanted change. I had to leave cause I was starting to get really depressed and had an anxiety attack. Manager would also do weird things and wink at me and would never have my back unless I went to his manager to complain. Just glad I’m out of that toxic environment

I recently had a tangle with a narcissist, and yes, it hurt and was confusing and difficult, but when compared to the living Hell I endured under a psychopath, it was a breeze, as far as rough patches go. I thought of it as the difference between a bad fall off your bike and being hit by a train. On a positive note, the experience with the psychopath prepared me very well for the incident with the narcissist, and I was more able to recognize what was going on and take my leave before more damage could be done to me
I can't even begin to describe what I went through with one of these. Lawsuits, weird fantasies, strange deaths, hundreds of 3:00am calls. The list is endless Thank God this was a very short relationship.

Yes! I went down his family tree, one auntie in jail for life for killing her boyfriend (public record!) Another cousin doing life for murder in Miami.
Another Aunt and his MOTHER.. accused of poisoning that same aunt’s husband (Yet, another aunt locked away in a mental hospital, her son has schizophrenia).

I can literally go on. The entire family system is broken! So glad I toke the children and RAN!
These are abused human beings. Who know better and could do better and do do better when they have truly loving good patient people around them.
But are incapable of going outside what they have been taught/abused/bullied into doing. And will only listen to their abusers no matter what and above anyone else.

Reaction seeking personality disorder sounds good to me,when I don't react there will be nothing to seek.Strange thing though our son at the age of 15 came too me and accused me of being angry at the father.Since I hadn't talked or text or seen this narc for a couple of years,I never reply his attempts to contact me.I can not see any reason to blame me for being angry 😅I am alienated from my son now.He doesn't answer my calls at all he doesn't want me to participate in his school any more.I grieved but I can't do anything .The boy is 17 now,and I feel confident that nothing bad can ever happen since he has the father of the year and the new mother of the year

I didn't understand the difference until I was an adult. My mom was a classic narcissist who could be violent but not in the same sphere at all. As an adult I remember watching this person at a fairly young age play whole groups of people against each other, kill animals, steal, lie and have no fear of consequence. And they would threaten ANYONE who tried to get them help. They are absolutely charming and terrifying. I know now to walk very cautious when I am in contact with this person. They know I know, so oddly once I went completely gray rock they kind of just pretend that I'm not there and it's a huge relief. But I am so scared of who he might hurt as he wasn't treated when early intervention might have helped. He experienced seperation trauma when he was quite young and I suspect that had a massive impact and then being allowed to carry on with truly insane shit because of the guilt or him losing his parent has allowed him to have zero rules or consequences. Makes me sad. Not only did the inaction of his adult caregivers ensure that he could not be taught cognitive empathy so I suspect he likely will end up incarcerated, his parent also ensured that he is going to continue to hurt others in every capacity he can. So they threw his life away, and ensured he will spread the pain far and wide. Fucking RUN if you can from these folks.

Yes, that's the thing I was dealing with. Unfortunately, he is a colleague of mine. Although an ex, I still have to experience this thing you are describing. He is unpredictable! He is terrifying , sweet, indifferent, attentive, mean, nice, driving me crazy. I can't work in peace!

I was married for 15yrs to a female narcissist whom was a alcoholic , overeater / overweight / money spending blackhole and whom planned and schemed for 10yrs to leave me once her business was at a sufficient stage to do so !!
She trashed me and blamed me for everything after leaving me via text message whilst on the other side of the world !!
She has zero morals or principles and thankfully her business is now on the slide downwards .......
Karma does follow them and catch up with them eventually !

reactionary. it overlaps into the political for these people too. they're reactionary at a fundamental level which affects every aspect of their life. be it personal, professional, political, etc etc etc.
For 20 yrs I had to handle this and he's taught his kids this toxic behaviour as well
