Femke Bol Is SOOO MUCH Faster Than We Thought

Crazy; that’s the best word to describe Femke Bol’s journey this season. Mind you, it’s not only the good kind of crazy. She shone and stumbled - literally - on the track; and yet, as the season comes to a close, she is recognized as one of the top-performing female athletes of the year.
In fact, Dutch athlete #FemkeBol was among the five finalists for Women’s World Athlete of the Year honors as was recently announced by World Athletics. How did this come about, you may ask?
Well, as I mentioned, Femke Bol has had quite a season. When Femke Bol started her 2023 by breaking a world indoor #trackandfield best, it was clear she was poised for a great year.

Judging by the time she posted on her indoor debut in Metz last weekend she is on course to be faster this year.
She will be faster this year!
The special thing of her 400m runs, is that where others implode, guts and muscles and everything, she speeds up in the last 50m to how almost a male runner does in the 100m.
She works harder to maintain speed. Not to gain speed(even if it looks that way) in sprinting you start decelerating after 60 meters. Everybody slows down faster than Femke.

Right now we don’t even know what event Bob Kersee is going to have Sydney run. People in Jamaica are saying Sherricka Jackson could return to the 400 for Olympics also Miller-Ubao and El- Naser should be back this year. So the 400 should be interesting

Femke needs to run a whole second faster in 400m hurdles to beat McGlaughlin
Femke has the European 400m hurdles record at 51.45s which she ran in Londen in ‘23 but I saw McLaughlin gain that last second in one years time, her previous world record dated from ‘21 was 51,46s and in ‘22 she ran 50,68s.
Femke didn’t start coming into the spotlights of the international athletics scene until she was relatively a great deal older then American McLaughlin, that’s on account of how the Netherlands doesn’t push its young athletes as much as in the USA, but once her talents emerged there was no stopping her. That’s why I think she is still progressing whilst I’m not sure if McLaughlin has reached the top of her ability at an earlier age and might be overtaken by Femke. We will just have to wait and see, that’s what makes it so exciting.

Those two are on par with each other, and Femke holds the current world record 400 meter dash, it should be a very interesting race when those two face each other again.
No doubt Sydney McLaughlin is incredibly fast, but if there is someone who can potentially beat her, it has to be Femke Bol, both ladies are insanely fast.
We probably won't see 50.68 again from Sydney McLaughlin Lvrone. That record will stand for years.

She might be "fast" but not as fast as Sydney McLaughlin - the world record holder. McLaughlin broke the record 4 times!
Sydney didnt even compete in the 400mH in 2023. Theres no telling how fast she is right now.

McLaughlin has been avoiding all races against Bol that she could possibly have since the last Olympics. That's really coward-ish !
Sydney McLaughlin did not seem to be very eager to run Femke Bol in 2023 , on her part Femke Bol would love to run Sydney McLaughlin all the time, she thinks it will stimulate her to find her very best ,no matter what the outcome might be. Well, if Sydney McLaughlin does not show up in 2024 as well the only thing left to do for Femke Bol is beat the clock, and believe me, she will.
