What a great game by the Montreal Canadiens. It's fun to be a Habs fan in 2024/25. The 1st goal of the game by Suzuki from Cole Caufield was promising to start things off. Then it was downward from there. Giving up 6 or 7 goals is terrible, however, 9 goals at home is just downright embarrassing.
This team has been given too many passes by management and coaching. Montreal Supporters are getting frustrated with St. Louis giving passes and constant mistakes. Matheson tonight looks like he's half asleep.

Way too much time out there for the Pens. Shooting gallery, did not watch the game, were there any decent hits by the Habs? Hard to watch the free ride in our zone.
As a Montreal fan - this was frustrating. 3-1 in our homestand coming into the game. We'd already lost twice vs a not-so-good Pittsburgh team. A 4th win in 5 games would have been HUGE for us. Instead, poor team defense and multiple bad penalties cost us big time. Monty was not the problem - shorthanded situations and defensive breakdowns were the difference. I think Matheson is a net negative for the Habs' chance to win. Truly. There have been bright spots over the last few games, but I'd like to see a couple health bombs in upcoming matches. Dach + Matheson to start. And for the love of god, please call up Dobeš and give him a shot as the backup.
Sure, 3-1 in the homestand, all 3 wins against teams currently not in playoff positions, 2 of them bottom dwellers in Nashville and Anaheim. I wouldn't be too proud of that
