Hi friends! I (again) apologize for the background noise in this video, that won't be a problem in the near(ish) future. What are your guys' thoughts on having captions in the video (do you prefer it or would you rather have it as an option)? Let me know :)
Good luck Mia! I'm currently switching from accountant to real estate agent soon. I've already reached 6 figure net worth, but now I'm trying to reach 7 figures. I wish you the best in everything!
You have a great head start. I'm turning 35 this year before I knew about financial independence. I should've started investing a lot earlier. Now I have a lot of catching up to do. You have a lot of potential, good career choice too. Good luck on your journey. I wish you the best.
I plan on reaching coast fire within the next 11 years. I basically restarted my financial journey and left my 20s with a negative net worth due to a failed relationship. Within the last 26 months I have hit a six figure net worth and will hopefully be able to aggressively save and reach seven figures before I leave my 30s. Once I hit my number I plan on switching to a less stressful job, maybe teaching overseas for a work visa to travel, while living on a pension and allowing my investments to compound. I have a hairbrain idea of buying a sailboat one days and traveling around the world but I'm probably to frugal for it. Goodluck on your journey!
I live with my parents still, I’ve maxed out my Roth these past 2 years and I am building a solid dividend portfolio. I am not contributing to a 401k due to the scare of it not catching up to inflation, but I am investing in my brokerage. I do use credit cards since they are ways for me to enhance my life, in this situation, the gold and platinum. And having the Charles Schwab platinum, my points pool together to redeem as cash straight into my brokerage. I have family as authorized users, I rarely spend and they do it all for me. I love the platinum perks with hotels and priority pass when I do travel.
@@ScrubsandSavings21 yes, they do match. Do keep in mind I refrain from it because of the fear of my money not catching up to inflation. Even if it’s tax free, I’ll enjoy my dividend portfolio. I won’t jump into something I’m not sure will have a good outcome whereas index funds and dividends are very safe due to past history proving they are.
Best of luck on this! I think it’s a tall order, but depending on your field in nursing it could happen. I just wouldn’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t happen as quickly as you’d like it too
You do a good job at this already, but don't be afraid to jump on spontaneous travel while you're young. I saw cheap flights to Paris for $260 round trip in March and snatched them up. It was such a wonderful experience that was worth 10x what I spent on the trip. You're only young once.
On step 5, just for thought. You could purchase a duplex, or even a triplex and you could probably end up living for free by renting the other unit out which is what I decided to do for first house and it worked out really well!
It sounds like you have a pretty solid plan. If you are looking for a sneaky bonus retirement account, you can look into an HSA. They aren't just for medical expenses. There are several benefits to them from a tax and medical expense perspective. but the thing I am most interested in, is after age 65 you can withdraw money from it for any reason and only be taxed at ordinary income tax. No penalty.
Nope! I hope to contribute my income & time to my community now and for the rest of my life. I appreciate your concern for the well-being society though😊

I’m a fan of the captions! I’m someone who prefers them on all my media - but hate the UA-cam auto-captions
@kdugas Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it :)
As a option

Good luck on yours as well☺️
If you do a 15 year mortgage and don’t refi your house would be paid off.
I’m planning on doing a 30 year mortgage :)
Go for it girl! Great job so far. Keep going. Your goals are waiting for you.
Thank you so much!!

Next step is to open an HSA if possible…
I love that your set up works for you. Does your employer contribute to your 401k if you contribute?

@@YumDex I see what you mean. Good luck on your journey!!
@YumDex You do realize that you can invest in index funds within a 401k, right...? It'd be the same as your taxable brokerage, but growing tax-free.
I'm retiring from the traditional 40-hour work week for sure when I turn 40. 30-35 hours to maintain benefits and enjoying my 3-4 day week to my 70's.
I’m glad that you have a plan!
told myself I was going to retire at 40, I clearly failed that! We'll try again at 45 😊
You can do it!

I know! I’m actually in no rush. I plan on working part time even after I achieve financial independence :)

Don’t worry about that! I’m planning on traveling as much as I can when I’m young & don’t have kids :)
Hi! ❤ Great plan! You can totally do it. 😊
Thank you so much☺️
Very informative! 💯
Glad it was helpful!

I’ve thought of doing that for a first home! Unfortunately, though, there aren’t many duplexes or triplexes in my area :/

I completely forgot to include using an HSA as a retirement account instead of a transaction account. Thank you for your comment :)
I hope you can achieve your goal of financial independence! I am focusing on investing for retirement and saving for my true expenses.
Good luck on your journey!
Amen 💯
So your plan is not to create any wealth for the world or your community from 35 to lets say 80 ? 😂😂
Wow damn what a wonderful plan 🎉

@@ScrubsandSavings21 By retiring at 35 ? ahahahhaa
I’m in no rush to retire actually! It was just for the thumbnail. I plan on working part time as a nurse after I become financially independent.
Just subscribed! Good luck Mia 🫡
