Color wise, I prefer the goldtop. But, the cherry sunburst is nicer to play. Not all guitars I owned play the same. The goldtop does not have leveled frets.
@@tom_buggy I still have the goldtop. Both have the same feel on the neck and I like it. Very comfortable to play. I did not replace the pickups. I just removed the pickup cover.
@@tom_buggy before you do, you should be aware that there is lead connecting the pickup cover to the pickup. Either you use a soldering iron to melt the lead or use a long nose pliers to detach the cover from the pup. I used the latter approach.
