I have a really similar setup to your wife and loved the no-judgement-ness of you describing it as a task/time manager because I have seen multiple bujo creators who rip apart people who use bujo this way rather than as a journaling and self reflection tool.
This is it. I’ve been wanting to see a small one. I need large journals for mental health. For work they seem too big because a lot of what I have todo is already captured in work calendars in apps. Love her setups because they are simple and appear effective. Something busy people can do without pressure.
Why do I feel like I'm spying on someone's bujo...LOL. I wish I can do that small size by my handwriting is bigger than the notebook itself...not really but close to it. Thank you for sharing.
I was super thankful she let me share. If you really want to try a mini notebook maybe try using a finer tipped pen! I had a hard time fitting stuff between bullet when i first started with a regular sized notebook too lol
I love your wife's setup! I switched from an A5 to pocket size bujo a while ago, partly due to inspiration from this video. It's much less overwhelming for me, as the smaller size encourages me to focus only on the basics.
I love using a smaller notebook. I moved “up” into hobonichi techo this year and it feels too much, weirdly. This was a great vid. I appreciate you and your channel even more after watching this!! Well done (and thanks to your wife for being willing to share!)
That's quite interesting ! Your and your wife's bullet journals are away from what i've seen before and much closer to what i want to do with mine :D Also, I've never though of writing down the song i have in my head when i wake up, i'll think ill give it a try !
Thank you! I am getting started with a pocket sized bullet journal and, like your wife, I need a simple setup to stay organised. This video is inspiring and useful. Above all, seeing a setup similar to mine has given me a sense of belonging in the bullet journal community.
Finally a very good weekly page that I want to try out. My actual 2-day-on-one-side-version needs too much time to set up and sometimes there is too much unused space. I really love the "only 3-5 tasks a day" rule, because you're happy when you finish all of your tasks. But if you haven't completed all of your tasks, it feels odd for the whole day. With your wife's weekly page, I think I finally found something that could fit into my life as well. Thank you and your wife for sharing this ❤
Wonderful and very interesting video! It’s great to see how others use their bullet journal! I actually just started using a pocket notebook to accompany my A5 book. My pocket book is currently just for the daily tasks as a way to avoid feeling overwhelmed with my big A5 that I use for reflection and working through challenges. I’d dump a long list of the monthly tasks (from the A5) in the back of the pocket book, in 1 spread. And in the front use 1 spread per day for doing a few of the tasks in the morning and evening. Any tasks that don’t get done get migrated to the next daily spread, and I don’t flip back to the previous page (because I use a paperclip to get to the current page right away). I’m hoping I’ll see good results with this approach.
I really like this idea! Like having one mega list to pick from. I’m thinking of getting one of those $1 mini composition notebooks to help with work tasks cuz I can squat with it in my pocket 😂
@@SimieIriarte Haha yess totally valid! 😁The book has to be really small! My pocket book is a Penco notebook in B7 size (it actually fits in my passport size TN cover which is huge for me because I don’t like the official inserts with their meager page amount.)
Awesome 👏🏿 I think I'll get started with the pocket size. It's very concise, plus for a moment i wont use too much stickers. Thank you for allowing us to peep in both journals👍🏿😎👍🏿 Have a great weekend and/or week to you and loved ones ❤🙏🏿
thanks, I'm going to try some of these things in my pocket notebook -- I've always waffled between the A5 and A6 (or Leuchtturm pocket), the space for writing vs. the portability etc etc. I love your humor...
I love it so much that I`m thinking now to go for pocket size because i usually do not write so many things, also it is so minimalistic yet cover all i need and i can have in small bag 👌
So cool to see a smaller notebook! I wish I could use one, but the lack of space (at least now) gives me a little anxiety 🥴 Maybe when I learn more about how I use the space in my current journal I´ll be able to try a smaller one
I know this video is old but i loved it! I always go back and forth with small notebooks to larger notebooks. I can never make up my mind, hopefully in 2024 im make a decision 😂 i will subscribe
Love this!! Made lol literally when you had the purse on. Hoping my husband will start to bullet journal too so I'll have to make him watch this! Thanks for another great video! Love her set up and lay out as well!
I want self-reflection but at the same time...I want a task manager. Should I do both? I kind of would like a book that focuses mostly on tasks even though I know bullet journal can be both but sometimes I'd like to have a book without any you know extra stuff and just keep it focused on tasks. Interestingly enough I think when I started bullet journaling it was mostly tasked though i did also tried to be artsy because I was feeling insecure at the lack of pretty in it...
!!! When you said wife my entire heart lit up. 💖🥺 Also her bujo is so cool lmao I love the no-nonsense, hyper utilitarian layouts~☆

Aww dang that sucks that that happens. I’m all about getting more joy out of things by having it serve multiple functions!!

It's YOU who is holding the pen. Use finer tips and force yourself to write 3 times smaller

I never would’ve thought of using the back pocket of my pocket notebook as a wallet!
This video is awesome. I love the info, the editing, and the music. Keep up the great work Simie!

I already liked you and then reading your wife’s journal I screamed I like you even more now

When did you come to Guam!?!? I love on Guam and would love to meet you one day.
SO HELPFUL! Thank you! (And please thank your wife for me!)
I love all your videos, but this one was especially super cute. What video editing software do you use because that blurring was flawless!
Aww thanks! Davinci resolveee. You still gotta do all the blurring manually though 🙃
@@SimieIriarte I'm still impressed because it's soo smooth. It looks like it was always there in the first place!

That’s funny, I start my journals in July because that’s when I start getting ready for the next semester
Me: BuJo, Field Notes, always carries a pen 😊
My wife: Scribbles on crumpled up post-it notes, uses whatever pen is available 😂
😂
❤❤❤
Yay!!😂😂❤❤❤
Are you premiere league fans? Who do you support? Sincerely, - a Spurs fan suffering through a very rough season
Yes! But my wife follows much more closely. We don't heavily support any team but she does like Leeds because of 🇺🇸s lol
