First off, the two of you did a wonderful video. I so enjoyed the music in the background. I'm not sure why this DVC resort always gets negative comments. There is so much to do here. The plus is having Disney Springs in walking distance. As well, the buses came quickly and often when we have stayed there and we love the refurbed rooms. We have always enjoyed our stays at DVC. 💜
I'm a new SSR owner. I bought my resale contract from DVC Resale Market a few months ago. I can't wait for my welcome home trip in December. SSR looks considerably more upscale than Old Key West, which it's often compared to. Great rooms, beautiful grounds and DS access. I think I'm going to love it!

The grounds are beautiful, and as you said it is just so peaceful and a great escape after a busy, noisy, day at the parks! Thanks for this fair review.
Poor SSR. Does not get enough love. Just came back from our first 1 bedroom villa trip. Can't go back to studios now! Paddock section is great to stay at. Great pool & pool bar without spending Preferred points. Admittedly we weren't very adventurous this trip when it came to meals, but our best meal by far was at the Turf Club.
Love the treehouses! Stayed there a few times. Was with 4 teens and it was great being able to be a little louder late at night and not worry about the folks in nearby rooms. Hope you stay there and enjoy it!
We just completed a stay at Saratoga and it is a beautiful resort. I agree with you, very peaceful. It is a sprawling resort for sure. We were in Paddock Bldg 12 and after a few days, my wife was tired of all the walking everywhere. It didn't bother me too much, but you have to leave yourself plenty of time to get around. We were traveling with my wife's parents and the walking was too much for them. We wouldn't stay there again because of that. The 1-bed villa is really great for families though. Having a bedroom space to ourselves and kids both having their own individual beds in the main living room is a huge bonus for us. That layout with the third sleeping surface is fabulous! We were there for Spring Break and the pools were very busy! Hard to find a seat if you didn't arrive shortly after the pool opened. We hadn't experienced that at other Disney resorts, but this was also our first Spring Break trip. Perhaps everywhere has that same issue, I don't know. Saratoga was nice, but Beach Club and Riviera remain our favorites.
I stayed at SSR with a friend in October for a few nights and thought it was very nice. Didn’t think much more about it until I was on a boat this past week from Disney Springs heading to POFQ and passed by this resort. I honestly never stopped to think about just how close it is to Disney Springs but can only imagine the amazing views from that section. It was a very peaceful resort, and I can totally see why people make it their home resort, or even have it for their “sleep around” points. Great review!
It’s our home resort. We have stayed twice. First time was a treehouse. It was awesome! Second time was a three bedroom in Congress Park. It was amazing as well! We loved being so close to Disney Springs !
DVC is a home resort for us along with Hilton Head. We love both places. You covered all the pros of this resort. For us it's the proximity to Disney Springs always. Thanks for your informative videos!

I purchased my first contract from Nick Cotton in 2011. My absolute favorite resort since it it so quiet and beautiful, perfect for morning or evening walks. The treehouses are amazing! My only gripe is the spa not reopening, a cold and or rainy resort day spent there was the best recharge! Just added more points so we can stay more often.
Great overview. Considering a week at Riviera (our home) followed by several days in a Treehouse. Great memories of a Treehouse for one night during early reopening post covid. Didn’t get a full resort experience that time obviously.
Just wanted to say sartoga is a great resort if you just want relax and spend most of your time at Disney springs wife I stayed in a one bedroom plenty of room an so relaxing. And we just stayed and relaxed
We purchased at Saratoga Springs in 2004. Not our favorite at all. I think we intentionally stayed r here about twice over the past 20 years. I remember when we purchased noting that the points for a studio were reasonable. Our most recent stay was in a studio and I noticed that they had removed the table and chairs where you could sit and eat breakfast without sitting on the bed. Even a days inn has a separate seating area. My niece and nephew were with us. Thought the Murphy bed was uncomfortable. Missed having the table for computer work. Rolled the table over my toes to get it close enough to work. Won’t stay again. We also have points at AKL, Jambo and Kidani. Seeing beautiful animals while having breakfast is much better than looking out over a parking lot. Even if the Savannah animals are in, the native Florida wildlife is interesting. We mainly use Saratoga points as a placeholder to switch at 7 mos
It's great if we are just lounging around or spending time in DS, but once we start to do the parks portion of the vacation, I cannot be so far away and travel by bus only!
Can anybody answer these question please 1) I am staying in a standard studio. Where is the best section to request to be as close as I can to the main amenities (bearing in mind I don’t have a preferred room) 2) how many places are there to refill a resort mug. I love to end our yearly vacation at Saratoga. It’s just so peaceful. I could watch the boats from my balcony at Congress Park all day.

I think it would be great for a resort only stay for adults. For a park visit trip with kids then I think other resorts may be better

SSR is our sleep around points and I always use these first even borrowing as our other points are direct.

I have not stayed at Saratoga but I think Grandstand would work for you based on my research!
